Re(1): p5ers at WPT Gulf Coast in Biloxi? Just finished a 26 hour cash session at Beaux with two dudes at the same table the whole time (starting at my second table anyway after the tournament room table broke) who started before me and were still there when I left. One of them started late Tuesday night and was passing out for 30-45 seconds at a time in his chair in between hands. The guys were NOT good. There were 5 of us at the same table for almost the entire time. I would say I'm getting old, but one of the guys was in his 70s so I must just be a wimp. I left for the night when I almost folded a rivered straight because I ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(9): p5ers at WPT Gulf Coast in Biloxi? I stopped by the registration desk. They are expecting somewhere between 380 and 480, but obviously don't know for sure. Hope that helps. I posted a picture of the tournament room, and it's completely full for todays prelim + satellites. If my computer/internet will cooperate i'll post in in this thread, but it's up on my blog () and try this link, but not sure if/how long it will work: Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): semi-slowroll at WPT. wtf, that's not a slow, semi-slow, or any other kind of roll. Liu got raised all in on the river when Sebok obviously couldn't hold the nut flush. If I'm Liu I'm not exactly overjoyed to see Sebok's all in raise there either. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Interesting Hand Versus Sowers I think it's obvious that you're beat, but probably not up against a set or JJ+, so it's going to be tough for him to continue. If you're right about your and his respective ranges, then he's behind, but with the pot size and his stack he's getting the right price even then (effectively 72k in pot because you're calling a shove, he has 36ish left, right'): Hand 0: 37.318% 36.51% 00.81% 216882 4788.00 { TT-77 } Hand 1: 62.682% 61.88% 00.81% 367542 4788.00 { 66-22, 65s } Since he's getting right price against your range, I think it's a fold, but I'd love to hear a different opinion. Re(1): Tough decision at FT w/ AK in $26 180man SNG Just some math. If you give him the nittiest of ranges here (AA, KK, QQ, JJ), you're a 65.-35 dog, and you're getting 2-1 to call (call to 22,013 win 44,550ish), but obviously AK is also in his range here so you're clearly getting the right price on a VERY tight range. If AQ and TT are in his range, which they probably are as well as some worse hands probably, then it's 50/50 and clearly a horrible fold. There are players alive that will only push you here with AA and KK, but.... not very many. JJ+ Hand 0: 34.955% 34.64% 00.32% 128106564 1177506.00 { AKo } Hand 1: 65.045% 64.73% 00.32% ... Re(1): Adderall - What is the lowdown on this drug? I just started taking it for ADD two weeks ago. First day I tried it I felt just plain 'wierd' and almost stopped, but my Dr told me to try at least the first month. I also was up for 48 straight or more the first 2 days and was still functional until I crashed. I don't have trouble sleeping any more (as long as I don't take it within a few hours of bedtime).I'm divided on whether it helps with poker per se, but it definitely 1) keeps me alert and 2) helps keep me focused on my 1-3 tables instead of the million things I used to flip back and forth between. Edit: BTW, at ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
