Re(5): limping AA preflop
I'm more of a mid to low stakes player online and will often limp AA in early pos with the blinds small. Most of the players aren't advanced enough to figure I have a big hand and most of the time I will get raised. I can now overshove and usually get called by AJ+ and 77+. However, if no one raises me, i'm pretty much done with the hand if there are a ton of limpers unless i nail the flop

Last time i checked, you get to use ALL SEVEN cards to make your best 5 card hand. Boy what a boring game if the best of two cards, preflop, won everytime.

Some sites, Full Tilt for example, will still run WSOP satellites. Once the verify your age, they will just deposit the buy in into your account instead of registering you. I personally like this much better than the site you win registering you. I heard many horror stories of people waiting for ever to find out when they were registered.

Don't you think you might have gotten a better response and maybe some compensation on the fee's they charged you if you didn't flame them in the email' Coming from a customer service background, I can tell you that it's not surprising you got that kind of response after your email.

I have recently been playing Full Tilt alot. I too came from UB and was looking for a change. Under the options, I turn off the avatars (who needs to see a chicken anyway!). You can also change the background to a simple color, it's brown I think. The blinds may be faster as far as time goes but if you notice they go up slower. On UB you go from 50/100 to 100/200 vs Tilt where you go to 60/120. I think these things combined make it a great alternative to UB..... Just my 2 cents.....

Poker: The Mental Aspect
I've had moderate success a poker player over the last 5 years, playing mostly SNG's and MTT's. I made a decsision a few months ago I was going to really work on my game and look to move it to the next level. The results over the last few months have been great and I am doing better than I have ever done. However, I go on TILT very easily when one of the following happens. Take a bad beat Have a bluff go horribly wrong Make a weak fold that would have resulted in a MONSTER pot What kills me is I'll play great for hours in an MTT and one of the above happens and I'm usually out soon after, ...

I've played in many low limit MTT's and I found a decent plan for getting through the insanity. However, sometimes it means I bust out VERY early. I usually do this in a $5 MTT and no higher. Early on, I mostly stay out of pots and play very conservatively. HOWEVER, when I get a monster hand, I just push all in pre flop. You'd be surprised how many times I get my AA in against QJ or 88. With this stack I can now absorb some of the insane play. I don't play the higher buy ins this way but it seems to work pretty well in the lower buyins.....

But for now, this should not be based on the outcome of a live event, even though it is the WSOP ME. - Raymer is a jerk and not a good player Haven't you heard of ppl having a bad day! I guess we should close down all the bars as well in order to protect the alcoholics from themselves!!! While we're at it, we should close all the fast food places to help those with overeating problems. Point is, those with problems will find a way to feed their addiction whether it's online, scratch tickets, or the horse track. Getting rid of online gambling will only close one road, someone determined to get to their destination will find another way.
