Re:Tough spot w/ top set, what's the best play?
I think it's very rare for AK to not jam pre. No way you even think about folding here.

Who cares about his BR management' If he has $150 to spend and doesn't mind redepositing that's his business. He didn't feel like using his $150 to play $3 sit and goes. Good for him and congrats!

Re:My downswing is literally never going to end on stars
I don't get it' You want bad players at your table. The way to beat them is play tight and/or in pos and don't ever under any circumstance ever ever ever and I do mean ever try to bluff them.

Re:My downswing is literally never going to end on stars
I'm with ya, I think I have 1 final table on stars in the 3 years or so I've played there. I do have the advantage of when someone OPR's me on their site, they are going to think I don't have a clue what I'm doing. I barely play on the site anymore. There's just something I don't like about it, I definitely don't play my best poker there for some reason. Perhaps it's something in my mentality that prefers cartoons over pictures of kids and pets.

Re:brag post, best feelng after a long slump
Hey man congrats! Enjoyed playing with you and was devastated when you hit that flush with J9 until I rivered the boat. You played very well short handed and deserved to win. Hope to see you at many more FT's. Oh, and yes, the 50/50 with it's structure is a very long grind that for those of us who work, can only play on weekends.

Re:EXPERIENCED PLAYERS..... HOW BAD IS THIS AND WHY ? I MAKE THESE CRAZY/RETARDED PLAYS SOMETIMES!!!
I understand what you were trying to do, but against an aggressive player, I would rather let them pick up small pots and wait to trap them when I have a big hand pre and win a big one.

Re:$100 last longer for FT's first friday night fight **closed***
I'll join you on the sidelines after 3 6's on the flop loses to a turned 5 all in after flop to give him the boat, and then 88 no good vs a6 soooooooooooooted all in pre after an overshove pre. Glad I qualified for $75.

My bad, misread which bubble you were talking about in the OP. One thing we found out is that the situation is definitely not as black and white as maybe both of us thought.

Re:embarrassing question that I should know the answer to by now
Completely agree that a fold is not bad and certainly have to consider the BB waking up with a hand. At the end of the day, i guess I call because I feel I'm ahead of his range and am looking for edges (even if they are minimal) going into the ft. Of course, it's possible we've found a huge leak in my game.

Re:embarrassing question that I should know the answer to by now
I mean if you just smooth call his all in, and the bb goes all in, then you are priced in to call his push as well. I would jam from the sb just in case the bb has a marginal hand he might have thought about shoving if he thought you were weak after flatting.

Yes, I isolate here since you would be priced in to call a shove by the bb.

Re:is there really that big of a skill gap between $10 FO's and the $24s on FTP?
You do not need to be laggy to do well in these. As a whole, I'm sure the play is better than what you are used to, but the play is still very weak. The $24's are filled with people willing to stack off with top pair, flush draws, and anything else you can think of. The late game in any buy in level is crucial and this is probably where you are spewing chips or missing out on opportunities to accumulate. Perhaps the late game is even more critical in these tournies, as a large percentage of people play weak tight the closer to the ft you get. Then again, I can't for the life of ...

Re:Is this a fold?
In order for this to work you really need dan028 to reraise your shove to isolate, as my guess is you are not going to win a 4 way pot with 99. Others will say wait for a better spot, but I'm not sure with your stack this is an option. I shove praying for an isolation play by Dan028.

GG poison, don't listen to the haters. Wish I hadn't shoved my ace rag into your bigger ace rag with 4 left. Very well played, unlucky that the other guy had you about 5-1 heads up.
