bad beat jackpot odds on UB Does anyone know where to find a comprehensive /chronological list of bad beat jackpots awarded on UB and or AP since the inception' I have access to a spreadsheet that gives the true probabilities and the EV impact on winrates from 50nl to 10k NL and 50/1.00 to 10/20 Limit and would like to compare the odds to the actual results. Re:NEW MONITOR: WAT TO GET??? I have this monitor and have to say bang for your buck there is not a better deal on the market. Its a 1080p but you can run a standard cable to it for machines that dont support that resolution. I paid 550 for mine a year ago and its the best computer money I've spent. That being said my 2nd monitor on my PC is a 22" which was a mistake because of the stark difference in size and resolution. My laptop has a 19" screen (laptop screen busted because of a bad beat in UB 200k) In order from biggest to smallest you can fit 12, 9, and 6 tables with zero overlap on those monitor ... Re:What is the dumbest thing anyone has said to you Playing in a PUB POKER (free bar tourneys) tournament a couple years back there's an elderly man (60ish) who is seeing every flop no matter then bet and annonces "I caaallll" in a slow drawl every time he puts chips in the pot. A young guy, cocky, but very good player says " sir do you realize you've played every hand dealt since we started'" Old guy: "I keep getting different combinations of cards" Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Wishing death over poker I wish death on idiots all the time and there's a simple reason for it. I have come to agree that the sites are "rigged" to protect bad players from going broke too fast so they get rewarded in direct correlation to how stupid they manage to play. Therefore their bad play directly costs me money when their handicap is enacted on me and it gives me a reason to really HATE them. Some of the stuff people pull proves they have absolutely zero logical reasoning ability and in my honest opinion this world would be better off if they died before they had the chance to procreate and ... I wasn't even at the table or watching so I can't judge how game flow and stuff was going but the min raises did look funny/odd. Re:does this look fishy/chip dumpy to anyone? I did do a pokerdb of all the players listed for him and told him goodtrysucka had 37k in cashes on UB alone. To all of you saying he tried to pull a move on the preflop raiser though please note that the other player LIMPED then called the 4x raise. GTS then put in a same size bet on flop, got min raised, then he basically MIN 3bet /folded...so he put in about 80k more then folded on that board. He should be smart enough to know that a min 3bet will never be folding out the other player on that flop and if his hand has any value whatsoever at that point it is a very absurd play to ... Re:Running multiple turns and Rivers - Who does it favor ? SCT, would you not agree that if a cash game had a special rule that any allin situations with cards to come would be "run twice" or "run 3 times' that it would greatly affect optimum strategy in that game if the stacks were deep (100bb+)'' I agree that the EV doesnt really change on the showdown values in the "long run" but I think big pairs and top pair type hands go way down in value while semibluffs gain incredible amounts of value from fold equity against the top pair type hands postflop. Conversely small pairs are almost usesless preflop if everyone is ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Running multiple turns and Rivers - Who does it favor ? None of the math addresses the fact that if you are known as a player who will "run it twice" you will get a lot more people making marginal calls/plays/ semibluffs against you because the fold equity they get on semibluffs DOESNT get divided by 2 or 3 or however many times you will run it, but their risk does. As far as running it 2 or 3 times in every pot contested, If you play a 100bb buyin game where every time there's an allin the board is run 3 times, i would venture to say it would make LAG mtt strategy the most profitable strategy. You should always squeeze preflop with ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Running multiple turns and Rivers - Who does it favor ? technically you are reducing the pot size per occurence (of each set of turns/rivers) NOT increasing the frequency. IE if the pot size is $1000 and you run the turn/river twice, you are NOT "increasing the frequency" that you play that situation with a $1000 pot on the line. You are playing the situation twice with (2) $500 pots on the line, one for each set of turns/rivers. Say you get lucky enough to get a guy allin for $500 each (1k pot) like I gave in my first post (its an actual hand that happened to me) in a 2/5 nl live game. He asks if you want to run it twice (i have KK he ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Running multiple turns and Rivers - Who does it favor ? The number of times you run it reduces variance, yes. It is not always the best thing if you can afford the stakes because it turns winning the whole pot into a parlay. Lets say you have KK and get allin preflop with someone who has AQ. You are roughly a 3:1 favorite. Lets say this is a 2/5 NL cash game with $500 stacks. Other player asks if you want to run it twice (all 5 cards) You run it once you are 75%ish to win 1000(or profit 500) you run it twice you are 75%ish on 2 $500 pots effectively. My question to people who do this is it is USUALLY with a set vs flush draw or flopped flush vs ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
