Oh, The Cure For Global Warming Is...Pollution?? Whaaaaa?
According to the UN, we need to invest $1.9 trillion per year for the next 40 years to build green economies to "end poverty and avert the likely catastrophic impacts of climate change and environmental degradation." So, $76 trillion and we all live happily ever after. It should be noted however, that the number does not take into account inflation, and that just two years ago the UN estimate was $6 trillion spent over 10 years. Whatever the cost, it's well worth it imo.

8 Reasons to Consider Voting Democratic on November 2nd
I can see reasons 2 - 7 from a liberal's point of view. And I know reason 1 really gets the libs pissed off. But I find it silly that people believe that unions should have a political voice with their deep pockets favoring the Dems, but the companies they exploit shouldn't have that same opportunity. Unless you can show that the US Chamber has actually broken the law, I don't think reason 1 is valid. It looks to me like both sides have equally dishonest adds. Is your daughter...
I have 3 daughters ages 22, 20, and 17. So no Underdog34 high five of the monitor for me. When they were very young I used to talk about sitting on the porch with a shotgun or locking them in the basement. Then they became teenagers, with normal teenage attitudes only worse one week per month, and I realized that the best chance I had to get them to move the hell out, was for them to date. I encourage them to date. Having said that, if ANYONE my age, friend or not, attempted to date one of my daughters now, they would pray for me to just use the shotgun to kill them.

Did Sarah Palin cause John McCain to get more or less votes in 2008?
I think she fired up the base, but turned off independents. McCain is way too liberal for the base, but that was good for drawing independents, and then she scared them off. Stupid choice by McCain. Having said that, he wasn't going to win no matter who he chose. We're all far better off that he lost, now that Gitmo is closed, there are no more wars, the recession is over, congress is more open and ethical than ever before, and health care will be wonderful starting in 2014.

The pictures are extremely enhanced. Artificial color is added to help us visualize wavelengths of light we cannot see. Often, these enhanced photos are made by artificially coloring and overlaying imagages made from several different instuments (IR, Radio, Microwave, gama, visible, etc).

I disagree. I think you could find 10 scientist that believe that MMGW is real, and 10 that don't. Of course, you will never get "everyone" to accept the panel recommendations, hell, you probably couldn't get all 20 scientists to agree since this is not an exact science. But you could at least dispell some non-truths that are out there, come close to agreement on what data sets to use, and take the discussion back to the science and out of the UN and special interests.

Well, what part(s) do you think I made up' The stuff about Jones comes from the hacked emails which detailed the peer review process I described above. He has admitted to the data being missing, temps not rising since 1995, and the emails were real. The author of the IPCC report admits to the glacier bs, and the OP highlights the retracked sea level study. There are legitimate questions about which temperature station data was used and which were excluded, and whether proper data normalization took place to account for changing phyiscal conditions around temperature stations (urbanization for ...

You have a scientist (Jones) that draws conclusions about the earth warming. He only allows his like minded scientist buddies to review his work prior to publication. Once published, he hides/loses the data necessary to properly peer review his work. In the mean time, other scientists use his conclusions as input to their models, thus driving their conclusions.
