Hand in $5.50 MTT. I know I played this wrong, some advice anyone?
Yeah I agree with Eric. This early in a tournament don't put yourself in a tough spot, especially with a bad barrel card on the turn.

Hero Skin closed, advice needed to transfer balance to new Merge skin
I have been playing on Hero poker until they were no longer servicing us and I was looking to transfer to Carbon, but I do not have any money on Carbon. I was wondering what I was supposed to do' I had contacted support and all they ended up doing was giving me a ticket number but I don't know how to use this.

Interesting Spot...call?
I just recently got Holdem Manager 2 and I was looking over my HH and found this hand. Not really sure still how to import these things, but I was wondering what you guys thought about this spot and my line on the hand. Playing in a $5 1k Guarantee on Merge Blinds: 25.50 (Hero)Starting Stack: 3095 (Villian)Starting Stack: 2375 Started in SB with 5c4s 6 way limped pot to the flop. FLOP: 2c9c3c I lead for 135 into 300. Folded all the way around to the button who flats. This guy was running 33/12 over 88 hands played with him. When he flats clearly he could have a lot of ...

Stars/FTP Deal Complete -- Player Balances to be Repaid
Since school has started again I really haven't been following much about what is going on in Poker. I went on here last night and saw that FT is relaunching in November and I read some of the comments saying that the DOJ has our money. Is this true' If so how am I supposed to contact them to be able to get my money back. Thanks Guys.

Tough Spot deep in the 15k Guarantee on Merge
Only problem by raising the flop though imo is that it forces the villain to have a hand. If he has K10, KJ, KQ on this flop granted you are gonna be able to get more value from him. If though he has complete air and you just flat the flop it allows you to pick up another street of value on his bluffs when say, he thinks you might have a middle pair kind of hand. Also, the J on the turn in a great barrel card if he does put me on a middle pair and he has air. So I tend to think a flat is a lot more profitable then a raise in this situation.

Tough Spot deep in the 15k Guarantee on Merge
Thanks Tyson for the response. I actually played with you late in this tournament and you are very enjoyable to watch. Posting threads on Pocket Fives is really helping my game continue to improve and think of hands and situations in a new light. Always greatly appreciated getting insight for my peers who are better then myself.

Tough Spot deep in the 15k Guarantee on Merge
I was down to 39 left, 12th in chips when I got into a tough spot where I am still kicking myself about. Looking back on the situation a couple hours later I really feel like I should have probably folded on the river. There was not much history between me and the villain, he seemed to have been playing pretty solid and didn't seem to be very spewy or anything like that. Standard?
Thanks guys for the replies. After I stepped away from the situation I thought that a jam pre was probably my best opinion, but during the time I was hoping that I could get an extra street of value from a continue on the flop, or if A or K flops that I would probably be able to get away from it if he has AK. I do agree though that 3b jam is probably most optimal. BTW, I kind of screwed up the hand history a bit cause I still am not super sure how to do it properly on Merge. Flop was 6s 4s 9c Turn was 10s That is when we got it in, if that helps at all. Maybe your opinions might ...

Standard?
I was playing in a 10$ 2.5k guarantee tonight on Merge and I ran into this hand. I imagine there is a different ways to play this hand, but is my line okay' UTG+2 opened with a 4.8k starting stack I was in UTG+4 with a 4.2k starting stack Guy that opened was a good reg. Truthfully now looking back I am not sure what I was trying to accomplish by doing anything I did here haha. I was just asking for advice on what you would be doing here in this spot. I think the obv line here is probably jam and just get coolered. RALPHDIZZLE Posts SB 100.00 pleaseDELETE Posts BB ...

JJ 56BB OOP versus EP 10BB allin and BU coldcall
With no prior information on your opponents this seems to be a pretty difficult spot, but if it was me I would be jam ISOing in this spot. Better chance then not that you are good here in this spot.

AJs, 9 bb, CO, 5-handed, 10 left in 200person 6-max; Optimal to Shove or raise?
I am kind of going against the grain of the rest of these people here, a shove is clearly the standard play in this spot. I was kind of wondering how you have been playing blind vs blind against him previously, cause if not much had been done against him and he is super aggro I could see just limp calling off his jam. I think you could get a bigger chunk of his range in that way. Just an idea, but I do agree that shoving is more standard.

Casino Spot
Thanks Bazing for the comment. I always like hearing your analysis because you give full descriptions on the situation. I will attempt to answer these the best way I can. First of all the reason why I am not 2.2-2.5 pre is due to the fact that I would have likely gotten 6 callers, honestly. These players have no idea about stack sizes and opening ranges at the Casino. This AJo was the second hand I opened in about 30 mins, and still got 3 callers. The reason why I went with this type of play was due to the fact of a couple different things. I saw this guy raising quite a bit on Ace ...

merge 4r spot vs. DevilzWork
This is a fairly close spot here, if I was in your spot I would ask myself a few questions to analyze the situation better without doing any of the math on the go. A. Do you feel like you have a greater edge on the table, if so then you could def see a fold here and find a better spot. B. If you do call and get say 33, 44 would you be able to utilize those chips in a profitable manner, say the table is super tight and getting a 60BB stack can allow you to accumulate a much greater amount of chips in the long run. Out of curiosity, what was the buy in, as well as structure.

Casino Spot
I was playing in a $50 dollar donkament at my local Casino today and I believe I played this hand properly against this guy, although it didn't work out. I do understand before people post that it is somewhat high variance, but I still like it. What do you guys think. I was in the Hi Jack with AJo and 15k starting stack (blinds 100.200.25) I make it 725 guy on the button flats me and so do two other people. (gotta love donkaments) Anyways, the flop comes A 4 7 two clubs. First two players check, and I think what would be the best play here. The guy on the button seemed to love ...

Can you do anything other then call or fold here?
Yeah I do see what you are saying now. I too would of made it 2.4k-2.8k like someone said previously. Now that I am thinking about it though that was terrible by him. Only thing he can hope for in a jam by me is for a flip, cause not having much history with the villain would make me never shove lighter the AK, which he is getting crushed with. I would raise fold AJ and below.

Weird spot against random who plays passive aggresive
Yeah I agree with you. Donk mins it seems are always blocking bets on draws. I would probably make it 3/4 pot though, force him to pay more for the draw, cause on the river you gotta check down so pick up as much value as you can on the turn. You can't get any value on river.

Can you do anything other then call or fold here?
Thanks Bisull for the advice. Yeah I probably tanked too long about this decision. I do agree with you about the sizing as well, I think I am just being results oriented with his sizing due to the fact of the hand that I had. I am guessing you are saying that the sizing is bad due to the fact that he is forcing himself to get it aipf in position with a value hand'

Good Fold?
I understand what you guys are saying, and 95% of the top this situation is a fold, I agree. The table dynamic allowed me to play this hand though, imo. This isn't something that I normally do, but against an aggro opener who could be opening a lot wider then A10 here imo I don't think it is absolutely awful. I believe at this point as well we were playing 7 handed. If I had aggro players behind me I do agree this is a clear fold. With people who aren't going to 3 bet frequently I don't think it is bad. I don't know, just my thought.

Good Fold?
I have been playing a lot of poker recently because school is starting soon and I won't be able to play nearly the volume during the year as I can in the summer, anyways, I had an extremely interesting spot last night. I think I made a tough fold, but I am curious to see what others have to say about the hand. We were playing in a 1k Guarantee on Merge ($5 buy in) I believe we were down to about 22 people left, and cash was 27, so this was not a money bubble squeeze or anything. UTG min opens. (starting stack 16.2k) (blinds: 500.1k This dude has made a lot of profit on the site after ...

Can you do anything other then call or fold here?
Bazingaking the buy in was 10$ 2.5k Guarantee on Merge. I ended up tanking for the better part of my time bank deciding what I thought his range was then I ended up jamming. He called off with AQs.

Can you do anything other then call or fold here?
I was in an interesting spot last night in a tournament and I thought I would see what people have to say about it. Blinds were 300.600 with ante. I had 99 UTG+5 and opened to 1260, with a 12.3k starting stack. The button 3 bet to 3.5k with a 16.2k starting stack. Before I get into anything about this player, I thought this was a really good sizing cause I think that it puts me to a fold or shove decision. Anyways, I had played with this guy before in a couple micro stack cash games before and he seemed like he had a good grasp on the math behind what he was doing in different spots. ...

AK 31bbs @A73 facing flop min raise from stationy type player 4-way
I personally wouldn't really be considering too many two pair type hands on this type of board. If he has A7 or A3 that is just grossly unlucky. Although, considering it is a 2 dollar buy in it isn't out of the question. But I like just calling on the flop air his min cause the board is dry and if he checks turn you jam if he jams you call and just GG.

OK w/ this Bust?
You need to provide more information on this post for a better idea of what you should have been doing. Blinds, stack sizes etc. Just a general thought on the hand being that you should of raise pre with A10o and took it from there. Secondly you shouldn't be 5 bet jamming your entire stack in a deep structure like this in the early going. Give yourself some type of chance before committing your tournament on top pair, no matter how aggressive the player may be. Only time I can see you doing this is with the nuts, otherwise def slow down...

TT 167bbs 3b pot OOP facing aggression on two streets on wet board.
Early stages of the tournament in this spot I probably just call on the flop to see what he does on the turn. When he bets the second street I think it is an easy fold due to the fact that it is early in the tournament and we really don't have any prior reads on the villain. You can def find a better spot as the tournament moves on to be put in a better spot without losing a big chunk of your chips early.

Live Tourney spot
I agree. I think the type of hands that he is jamming at best is pair with open end ender, which you are still going to be flipping in that type of spot, but I think that is absolute best hand he has. Hands like QJ you are a 60% fav on, and if he has hands like A7 or A8 you have him pipped up pretty well. First off, did you call, and if you did, what did he show up with here'
