Child Support laws are stupid... I do a fair amount of child support work. Sometimes, with good grounds, the judge will retroactively reduce the amount of support owed to the new amount from the date the motion was filed. So, if it's been 4 months since the motion was filed and your obligation decreases by $500/month, you could get $2,000 knocked off of your arrearage. Can the police do this? I disagree with that. The phone is in plain sight. The contents of his text message are not. If the phone itself were illegal or the police were making a search incident to an arrest, it would be fine. I'd say it was def. an illegal search and seizure. We find out today if the BCS is "RIGGED" The non-conference champions that have made the title game have always been controversial. Just because it has happened does not mean that it was right. Some of the controversy stems from the fact that people have different criteria in determining what criteria should be used in determining which two teams play in the national title game. Should it be the two "best" teams without regard for any other criteria' Should we give preference to any undefeated team using the logic that every team that has not lost deserves the chance to prove whether or not they are the best team in the country' ... There is a conflict of interest every week, but it was especially true for his situation this week. The coaches have bias to their team and conference(which maybe works in reverse against a hated rival..lol), but the media guys have the same bias. That's why I actually like the computers. I don't think there is any clear evidence to say whether UM or UF is the second best team in the country. It's a really close call, in my opinion. He seems to be advocating more for a new system anyway. Eight team playoff is simple. Champs from SEC, PAC-10, Big-10, ACC, Big-12, and I suppose the Big East. Leave two at-large spots with a mandatory spot for an undefeated team in a smaller conference(perhaps with some other requirements like a minimum poll rank).
