Here's a better story on the bigger topic of politicians being concerned more about retaining and expanding their power than policies that are important for the betterment of our society, whether its unconstitutional surveillance or policies that hurt minorities and the poor, the desire for power trumps all. I remember the media using it as a primary source for the road map of Obama's life history during the campaign. I'm a fan for entertainment, not a fan for pride It is very similar in that you have a connection to the team or the community. Not much difference in living and going to school in Lincoln NE and being a Husker fan v living and working in Denver CO and being a Bronco fan. Before free agency many players would spend their entire career with one team, thus becoming fixtures in the community and the players and fans having some sort of connection. NSA Whistleblower Edward Snowden: PRISM, Privacy and Intelligence. 1-5 years. I would consider that getting off lightly. It also seems like the media is falling into line. I'm just not feeling the backlash or support for him I thought could be possible. It is very ingrained in our culture to not like people who "they say" fucked with national security. I don't see this blowing up in the government's face. The few congressmen and senators who support him will be ignored and the machine will roll over Snowden. I mean in terms of what the government can do to you. So Drake has a misdemeanor and can't work for the government. Somehow I don't think the government is going to settle for a misdemeanor wrongful use of government computer against Snowden. As much as I think disclosing the information was a good thing, I don't see how he gets around life in prison. If I am right, he will almost certainly become a martyr for the cause. Why did he not take this information to Congress or at least through the correct channels for whistle blowers' While that is not a perfect system, especially under the current administration, it seems it would have been better than giving the info to the Guardian and then leaving for Hong Kong and have people insinuate he is giving away national security secrets to the Chinese.
