What happened to the 5K added last night on UB So looking at last night's 10pm 15K gauranteed w/ 5K added last night, the math does not add up. The total payout was 20,400. There were 680 players. Well, 680 X 30 equals none other than 20,400. So of course the question is still, what happened to the extra 5K''''' I guess I may be missing something, so if you know, please let me in on the secret. THanks, win89 Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Akwesasne Mohawk Casino I've been there cause I went golfing at a nearby course. It's a small casino, but if you want to gamble it will do the trick. However, this was pre-poker for me so I don't remember if there was a poker room. I want to say there was, but really not sure. / win89 Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Hints for MTT's please I think ya gotta be a little looser with starting hands early on while the blinds are small. I like to play a lot of suited connectors as well as the KJ, Q10's and those kinds of hands. I'm not a huge favorite of A rag just because you really need to hit 2 pair with those. Please keep in mind that playing loose starting hands and playing stupid are very different things. good luck to ya and hope I helped. win89 Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Stealing blinds in middle/late rounds IMO, the only time that stealing will significanlty reward you is late in a tourney. The blinds are really not big enough mid tourney to warant an attempted steal unless you reraise someone you have an excellent read on. Once the blinds are about 300/600 and antes are around 75 is a time to start thinking about stealing. WIth that said, I think it's easier to list situations where attempting a steal is a bad idea. 1. If you are short stacked, or even have a mid stack, don't attempt to steal from the large stacks unless you have at least a coin flip hand. 2. make sure that if you are trying ... Re(1): For JohnnyBax, and all leaderboard players on MTT's ??? I'm not ranked, but may be able to help. When you are playing hand for hand, (and are not one of the short stacked players) one of two things are happening. You are either working into the money, or working into the ft. Since lots of people are afraid to lose, you can take some chances when you are in good position. Unless someone behind you holds a monster, you can take down some decent pots with just blinds and antes. With this said, I don't recomend getting all your chips in there preflop, but you can take a fairly big stab at it. In order to do this, you can not be afraid to bubble, or ... UB $33 TEC sit n go's UB says that these were not reloaded with the new software because of a lack of demand. I find this hard to believe cause they used to fill regularly. Don't know how much good it will do, but please email UB asking them to bring these back. Thanks for your help, win89 Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): BEGGING FOR MONEY I've been getting asked like crazy on UB lately. I swear, all the beggars have a secret site that they post if someone gave them a handout. THen they all come and find you. I gave money one time, and now get asked like it's going out of style. Seriously, if you have to ask someone for a dollar, should you really be playing this game' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): Trying to find new site As far as I know, bodog has the best bonus going on. I'm not sure the percentage, but they will give you money to play with instantly. As tourney sites go, I feel that Ultimate Bet has the best guarunteed tourneys for a wide range of buy ins from 1 dollar up to the 200 Sunday with tons in between. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): Big Tourney Bankroll - or satellites??? Like drglen said, TEC's are a great way to go. I recently had a huge month and left about 4K in my account. That is still small compared to a lot of bankrolls out there, but for my purposes, it works just fine. I play a lot of TEC tourneys to get the buyins for the 100. I would recomend the 33 dollar sitngos because you only have to finish top 3 to win one. It costs more than some of the others, but you have a much better shot since you don't have to win to cash. Otherwise, if you still want to build your bankroll, try some 30 dollar mtt's, the one at 10 on UB always has a decent payout. gl ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
