Re(5): Early lines for Pats/Indy... I'm a big Indy fan, but I got the Pats -5. If Indy wins, or even keeps it that close, oh well......money well spent. Don't like the hoodie. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re(4): Longest online tournament ever? They did do a chip chop, but since there was not a huge difference in chips at the time, it didn't make a huge difference (relatively speaking) in the final numbers. The CL ended up losing. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): WSOP poker is for idiots and losers Pay no attention to this douchebag. I live in the heart of ACC country and I can tell you that emailing him is only giving him what he wants. He's the bottom of the barrel and he is just seeking attention. Please don't give it to him. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(2): New respect for live pros IMO, the other games just don't suit TV very well. I have nothing against Stud, but I sure as heck don't want to watch it on TV. I love Omaha, but don't really care to watch it on TV either. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(1): I want a student. Taylor, I'd love to have you as a poker mentor. Unlike some poster(s), I have no doubt that there is much you can teach me, especially on the cash side. I've been playing on and off for about a year and a half. I've had some success at low level sit-n-gos on FTP, Party, and Stars (even though I obviously didn't get one of the special accounts, like you, Ari, and Bax! lol:-) My goal is to become proficient enough at cash games to supplement my income. Who am I kidding...I'd love for it to be my sole income, but, first things first. I constantly strive to learn more about the game. I fall into ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(4): #1Pen trend I'm not advising anyone to "drop out", but you guys do realize you can go back to school at any time, right' Some of you act like if you leave school, they're gonna close the joint down for good. If I was making the jack the some of you kids are making, I'd hit as hard as I could for as long as I could. Just make sure you're putting plenty away and not blowing (no pun intended) it all. Edit: When I say "school", I'm referring to college, not high school. Although, I guess you could go back to high school, too. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re(3): Dropping out of school People always say, "you can play poker when you're done with school." If you're raking it in bigtime with poker, just make sure you put plenty away and don't blow it. As an "old geezer" who just discovered online poker a couple years ago, I really envy you young kids who have all the time in the world to play. You can go back to school anytime (I know, I've done it TWICE!) Play while you're young, it may not be so easy when you get more complications (family, etc) in your life. Re(2): SNG problem... any advice? "Contact jennifear, I hear thats the latest fad." Don't know if it's a fad or not, but I'll just say this. Had my first SNG session with Jen last night, and it was paid for by the first SNG:-) I dunno, maybe I was just that bad to begin with, but I learned a ton last night. It's all stuff I had likely read in a book, but it sticks better when I'm able to see it applied live. Jen is very good at explaining moves/strategy on the fly. Highly recommend her for helping what ails your SNG game. (In my case, it was applying a can of WD-40 to my tight **s to loosen it up) LOL. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
