Lock poker store complaint
Thanks wacky, yeah I stopped playing there as well...foolish on their part to do this and lose players. I appreciate the tips. Hopefully see ya at an EPT sometime this year.

Lock poker store complaint
I moved to Hungary this past October and since smart phones are so expensive here I decided to purchase an iphone in the lock poker store. I made this purchase October 11th and one month later my order said that it was "under review". I sent a few emails that got some standard "We'll get back to you ASAP" responses, but they never did. By December I was sending an email every few days with no real information in return. I got this email December 23rd: We apologize for the delay. Your iPhone will ship within the next 7 days. Thanks for your patience. I will send tracking as soon ...

Future of Online Poker in the USA
Lengthwise I'd really like a response to my earlier question as to why you'd like poker to be run by the government and why other private businesses like grocery stores, electronic stores and such shouldn't be run by the government. I'll throw out one reason why I don't like the idea. As a player my money is my way of voting for which poker site I like. If I feel as if a site has dealt with me or other customers unfairly or has poor options then I get to quickly move my funds from one site to another (as well as everyone else) and we as a poker community get to decide (almost overnight), ...

Future of Online Poker in the USA
Lengthwise, it seems all the points you're making for online poker sites to be publicly owned could apply to almost any business not just online poker. Just curious if you'd want to apply this idea to most businesses (Live casinos, book stores, electronics stores). And if not, what makes the business of online poker inherently different from other the others'

Re:If you start with step 1...how many...
Some of the math you were given above isn't the best way to go about this, saying your chances of moving up is 2/9 is discounting the fact that steps pay more than just top two, for example in step 3, since 5th-3rd allow you to play again, you can say that when you actually recieve something other than a replay, 2 times you will have advanced and 4 times you will have lost, so your chances of eventually recieveing a step 4 ticket is not 2/9 but 2/6 (assume everyone's an equal player) The easier way to go about the math is just assume that your $27 ticket is a 27/12000 shot of ...

Re:What to do with Stars WSOP package..
I said this in another thread and I'll say it again, do the math before you rag on stars. For those who would already reach SN by the end of the year, the 100,000 VPPs will boost you to to the next milestone bonus. Lets say you were (without the 100k vpp bonus) going to have between 300k and 399k VPPs by the end of the year the 100k bonus will knock you to between 400k and 499k VPPs for the year causing you to earn the $4000 milestone bonus (minus $750 to purchase the bonus with FPPs) which earns you a total of $3250. Plus don't discount that pretty little million dollar freeroll ...

Re:Seeking logo sponsors for WSOP
Going along with the fact that it's 100k in VPPs NOT FPPs, stars deal is okay for those who are not already supernovas as the change in vpps will allow you to earn more fpps and play in a lot of freerolls. But it's a great deal for those who are already supernovas. If you are a supernova 100k extra vpps is a bump to the next milestone bonus, for example if you were gonna make between 400k and 499k in vpps for the year, then this boost of 100k vpps will allow you to reach the 500k milestone which gives you $5k (minus 50000 fpps = $750) for a free $4250 which unless you already have a ...

Re:Is the WSOP safe from being restricted in any way due to the swine flu?
The answer is no (EDIT: I suppose I mean yes with how the question is worded) and for a very simple reason, pandemics only last about 6 weeks. Everyones at that point everyone's pretty much either dead or has the antibodies to fight it.

Re:WSOP STEP 6 - 6 & 12-MAN??????!!!
Does anyone know if the 12 man step 6 is 2 tables of 6, or is it similar to the step 6 11 mans they ran for the SCOOP where they started with 11 players at 2 tables, and when one person went out they went to 1 10 handed table'

Re:Optimal vs Profitable Strategy
You need to clarify what you're saying. after 100 hands of heads up where play was solid and then getting AA and shoving all in with deep stacks is clearly profitable, and also generally not assumed to be optimal. Everyone in the world would and should agree that profitable doesn't necessaraly imply optimal. Is there any more depth to this question'

Intriguing question
Lets say blinds are 100-200 with a 25 ante, and I'm on the button facing a raise from early position and a reraise from the cutoff...the question is, what is one expected to do with the 5 dice that are contained in most poker sets. Much like the first part of the question doesn't really pertain to the last, I don't know how the dice pertain to the poker chips that I purchased.

Re:VIP Club vs. Iron Man
fpp=ftp is a total joke. fpp have much more value and are acculminated quicker, also fpps have more liquidity, unless there are tons of things you want in the FTP store, then there comes a point where the inherent value of the ftp decreases.

Re:STARS WSOP sponsorship deal...IS IT a good/fair deal for those who won entries to main event?
Most companies I've dealt with such as Gap, Old Navy and such, require me to pay them for clothing. However Stars gives you a shirt and then says put this shirt on and we'll give you $1000. Now I'm no economist, but I'm gonna have to say that this is quite a good bargain.
