ITM in the 18k Super Stack on Full Tilt..WWYD best answer ... Bob2Bob... JUST DONT FOLD! if u flat u must call the RRAI behind (cos u getting much more than 2-1) of course if you get another flat behind from the other big stack (button) and whiff you are in a crap spot. therefore i lean towards to shipping... 3 behind but only one that makes a diff. Calling for tourney life with small pairs??? Not sure calling here is automatic even though most of the time i think i do/have done. Should a winning player wait for a spot to be getting it in first rather than calling with slim chance of being only 20% or more likely at best a 50-50' I am sure some might argue that it is more profitable to shove a marginal hand which has two ways of winning ie stealing or at showdown. I think having some FE may be better than taking a 50-50 or on occasion as in this example a 20%er. gross. Can anyone refer me to a good article/forum post on blind battles I def need to improve this aspect... esp ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Stop & Go agree that 77 is likely good on an 882 flop. its the flops with one or two overs esp A-T that are more difficult. check folding a three high card flop basically turns the flat call pf into a set mine at terrible price. do you open shove 77 on an AJT flop' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Calling for tourney life with small pairs??? I had 10BBs in nighly 100K today with 80 runners left and held 55 in BB... SB shoved (he had 150%+ of my stack). He hadnt been too active and had just doubled up a hand or two earlier. I tank called and he had 66. I much prefer to be the aggressor with a short stack... having some FE is helpful (esp with a tight image, which i have prob 75-80% of the time). So i am calling here because i am short, i have a pair, the price is pretty good and i close the action. If i am against two unpaird cards 85% of the time i believe i can justify the call however rather than RACE am i better to wait for ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Stop & Go Wondering what peoples thoughts are on this play... calling a pre flop raise from blinds then shoving flop. I dont do it a whole lot but i have noticed that when holding small to mid pairs in the blinds my opponents overcards hit on turn or river... of course its a complete guess as to whether opponent hit flop when there is only one card over T... and its a disater when shoving an under pair to opponents hand with 2 to come but on flipside opp going to miss flop 1/3 with un paired hole cards. Related to this is desirability of seeing all five cards with AK/AQ/AJ/KQ - i much prefer to shove ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Playing AJ & 99 UTG/UTG+1 These two hands in EP are driving me mad... seems when i open fold i would have won the hand but when i play them i get in trouble (not RO but this has been increasing my frustration and uncertainty with playing these two hands). I am particularly interested in the play of these hands in all stages of tournaments (1) Early (2) Mid (3) Late (guess its tough without knowledge of table dynamics perhaps discussion of these hands at loose and tight tables would help) Thoughts' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

PokerStars Account Hacked I signed up to pocket fives a couple weeks ago and unfortunately my first post is quite serious. My stars account has been compromised and I am currently in discussion with PokerStars security about 4 transfers totalling $3,600 that i never made. Their initial response was to claim it is a transfer dispute. They claim i knew about the transfers because i gave them the user name of the player funds were transferred to and amounts in my initial email i sent them... that was a ridiculous response as obviously that information was in my cashier history. They have subsequently alleged I sent an ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
