Re:why do some crush live and can't do a thing on-line? Live players are just worse then online players for the most part. You can also normally get by for awhile live by playing pretty tight, passive poker. You can't do that online. If you aren't aggressive you will get run over. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Greatest Benefit of Rush Poker........ Do you realize that when using a hand you need hundreds to even thousands of hands played against the same player before these "cheating stats" even become semi reliable'It would be a very long time before anyone had played that many hands against the same opponent in rush poker since the opponents change every hand. Re:WCOOP Main Event "Udon Wannit" (multi-acct. ?) Imo the regs that know of other regs that cheat need to out these people in public forums. Don't just send their names to Stars/Tilt. If the cheaters fear that they might be outted, it might make them think twice before doing it. Right now they can do it without really really any consequences bc everyone keeps quiet. Re:Oct 15 FTP Update When I first saw both of these changes I initially thought that they were stupid. But after a few minutes I realized that this basically is only for the fish. It hardly has any effect on the good players, and any "gimmicks" that draw fish to Full Tilt is good in my book. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Phil Ivey Main Event Day (5)... I agree. The structure matters. While he only has 30-40 bbs, with this structure he can hang around and wait for a good spot. IMO he is a favorite to finish in the top 3. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:When is it time to stop blaming variance? Also if you have AQ and you the player flips up his cards and he has 107 or whatever you said and you fold that is just moronic. If you have an edge, take it. Otherwise you are playing outside of your bankroll Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:When is it time to stop blaming variance? The reason why they have never been all in is because of the structure. You can't do that in most online tourneys. The structure is too quick and the blinds move up too fast relative to your stack. The simple fact most of the time when players ask these questions is they have huge leaks in their game that is keeping them from making money. Improve your game, and you will win. You are not anymore unlucky then anyone else is. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:WCOOP Main Event "Udon Wannit" (multi-acct. ?) How are people this naive'' You can think of all these excuses like his rich friend bought him in or something like that, but the fact is he played very well. He obviously knew what he was doing, and no random just taking a shot would play like that. To everyone not clueless i think it's pretty obvious. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:interesting cash hand While "your hand doesnt matter", your hand makes zero sense here. If you were check raising for value (which is still bad), then you have a boat of quads and you should be getting it in. Im sure you actually had aces, and its an easy fold. Also if you did have aces this was not the correct line to take. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Durr made his 2nd deposit Do not want to hijack the thread but just about every young kid that has made a good amount of money from online poker all started with a hundred/two hundred dollar deposit. Re:$100 to $50,000 Why don't people set semi realistic goals. Say $100 to 10K maybe by the new year. I mean unless you are already a baller that I don't know about the chance of this happening is very unlikely. Odds are you will lose your $100. But by only playing MTTs you could get extremely lucky and get a huge score. So good luck. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Hachem...people in ME are "f***ing idiots..."??? You would think that most pros would understand the basic principle that these "morons" that are in the Main Event and other tournaments are where you make your money from in poker. It makes absolutely no sense to complain about weak players in a tournament. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Calling a Harrington bluff Without knowing the pre flop action it is a little hard to offer an opinion, but I will do the best I can. Dan is not checking back trip kings very often on the turn, and most of the time not checkign back a boat either (AK). The river is an obvious blocking bet which Dan read correctly. But his raise size is so big that he polarizes his range. With Dan's bet size he can never be raising a naked ace for value. Therefore he either has trips, a boat, or nothing. When you take into account his turn play, his raise doesn't add up. I do agree that if you make this raise inducing ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Attention all cash players.....advice please!! I think you should stop thinking in turns of set rules and be able to adjust to the table dynamics. For ex: If you triple up and are playing 300BB deep and a very good player on your left is also this deep and will give you trouble, then you should leave. Unless you have a lot of practice playing against someone good this deep who has position on you, you will be at a major disadvantage. Get a feel for the table, and make informed decisions based on that, not set rules. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
