Re:bad bluff?
yes, fold preflop is one easy choice, but i wanted to outplay this guy, coz his range here is wide. hes been raising every third hand, and i really wanted to play this hand. i guess i should have 3 bet him in order to continue instead of flat calling. he had AT, but the thing is that is EXACTLY what i put him on... he should be able to get away from AT with that sort of action maybe raising the flop then barrelling any turn is another option, then reevaluating if called on the river. so i reckon 3 bet pre, then c bet wouldnt have been a bad line to take, what do you think'

"fold to seat easily"... then fold ATC. whats the point of playing AA if you got 10% of losing if you get called, and you hav 100% chance of winning if you just muck them'' if this wasnt satellite, i would shove (depending on his range, but i shove most of the time here)

Re:nasty spot with QQ
note that the sixhearts said "come on. not again" which probably means that the guy has been raising frequently. i think thats your read based on that, plus the strength of your hand, you are wayyyy ahead of his range. plus even if he has AK you have fold equity and the guy might lay it down... if yuo get called you're probably behind, but right now, you're ahead, so push that edge

Re:180 man turbo
here i would fold. its 9 handed and i think its really likely that he has me dominated. however, he is utg, which means if hes a decent player his range is a lot wider. so jennifear is right about her post i just think that there is too high a chance that i'm dominated since its 9 handed. i would fold, then shove in the hijack, cutoff or button ATC if folded to me. i think you have time because you have position coming up i'm known for being tight so im probably wrong here - some1 please correct me if thats the case.

Re:Did I overplay this hand?
i just said the continuous machine part just to say that he was wrong in thinking that if he smoothed it he woulda seen the ace. it doesnt affect anything, but jsut saying that cards come out differently depending on many factors, its not like in a live game where the top 3 cards that will come out will always be the same and lol, you're never "owed" - each trial is independant. but yes, you will suck out with AQ v KK 30% of the time, just like you will get sucked out 30% of the time with KK v AQ. good point about reward/punishment

Re:Did I play This Correctly?
i dont like it esp since hes deep its these hands that get you stacked. e.g flop A29, you lose to A9 etc A2 does not play well deepstacked. if it was A2s then may try to make the flush, i guess the implied odds are there, but A2o is a big no-no. you either win a small pot or lose a big one.

Re:did i play this right and was just unlucky?
read same shit. goddamn why do you think you've overplayed something when you jam it and have the best of it, then get sucked out wtf man, you're 70% to win, a massive edge, but its not 100% if u got this every hand you'd make massive amounts of money, but you would not win every hand.

Re:Did I overplay this hand?
ok 1) if you flat called, the A probably wouldnt have come up. most poker sites use continuous shuffling so the exact timing of your call/raise affects the cards that come out 2) you shipped it, got it in as a 7:3 favourite, and got sucked out. get over it. no, you didnt overplay it, you shipped it fine it takes a lot of luck to wina tournament, and you have to win a lot of coin flips, 60-40s, 70-30s, 75-25s, and even some 40-60s. if it was me i would ship it, i'm only dog to AA, and if an A flops if i take on AK, AQ,..., so be it, there will always be another tournament. play for ...

Re:Should this be a PUSH | FOLD | CALL
i disagree, i'd shove it sng wiz is great if you got the ranges right. it plays mathematically optimally problem is his min raise doesnt really define his hand since he's doing it a lot. A9s is pretty strong 3 handed yes, you're getting yourself into a coin flip here, but since ur ITM already, 1st pays a shit load more than 2nd, so going for the win is obviously optimal if you call here and win the flip, you have 4k chips and he has 6k chips or something similar, so thats a good situation and you can win from here. i think A9s is too good an opportunity to pass up by calling ...

Re:Did I play This Correctly?
FOLD PRE NEVER MIN RAISE a min raise lets the guy with the 6 in, and you're not gettnig max value from people who have flopped top pair or two pair or a set. when you have flopped something decent, but needs to be protected (like your dummy end straight), press the "raise pot" button and press ok. trust me, this will save you a lot of chips.

Re:Bet or Check ?
is this a satellite' how many players are left' what is the prize structure' these things are extremely important in deciding whether to check down. e.g. if its a satellite right on the bubble, then definitely check down. there is no gain getting extra chips, you want the short stack KOed, gg, finish your other 5 tournies you're multi-ing if its a normal tourney structure go ahead and bet if you think you have the best of it. checking it down wont help anyone but the other guy. hes a dickhead who doesnt know what hes talking about. tourneys reward the top end, go ahead and accumulate ...

Re:.10/.25nl full ring
i woulda reraised preflop to pot to take control of the hand reraising to $6 allows you to get away from your AQs to a shove you can also cbet a raggy flop or check raise a flop with overcards and a flush draw or something. gives you a lot more options than smooth calling preflop as you are not really defining your hand. maybe that "conceals" your hand,b ut the disadvantage of that is exactly what happened: you have no idea where you are alternatives flop bet looks like a cbet, and me's raise could be a steal, but really i dont know where i am at if i'm in that situation. ...

Re:AJo Deep in Early Double
i think its fine, and the best play. 10bb stack (plus antes) means its shove/fold. the steal alone is worth 29K (30% of your stack), so picking this up in itself is awesome. since utg is "pretty loose" and a regular limper, i think AJo would have his range smashed. unless hes trapping with AK or AA or KK, then you're in trouble, but still, AJo has his range pretty well beat. with something like TT/JJ/QQ/AQ, he'd probably make a raise so its unlikely that he has those. the sb is probably completing to see a cheap flop, i dont see his hand having much strength against AJ. ...

Re:JJ on Low Stakes Tournament (BIG problem)
Btw, this was the second hand in the tournament, got no reads Ok, well i probably made the worst choice, i called... The reason is that i wanted to see a flop, and would fold if faced with a bet on the flop if the flop has an A or a K. NOTE: I am in position against the raiser. I'm also still fine if i call the preflop bet, then fold on the flop. I guess I didn't want to shove, then get called by AK, AQ, AJ, AT, A9 etc or even KQ and then see an overcard flop. Therefore, i called (because i was in position, if i was out of position, i shove), and, So: Full Tilt Poker Game ...

Re:What should I have done in this spot ...
Assuming you made the preflop raise (shove was better IMO), when he shoves on the flop, i would fold my 2nd pair. You still have 9 bbs, which with aggressive shortstack shove/fold play, you can still survive off. GL

Re:AA utg near the bubble????
I need to know your chip position, your current rank, how many left, how many til the bubble bursts etc in order to make a decision. e.g Are there any super short stacks' Are YOU the short stack' If there is a super short stack (3 bbs or less), and there is 1 left til the bubble, then FOLD it. You can pretty much fold til the bubble. However, if you are the short stack, you got 10 bbs if you fold, and you're in desperate need of chips. Call it and hope for the best. Satellite play is more about the chip positions rather than hands - if you play correctly according to chip position, ...
