is it possible to be successful at low stake mtt's I agree they are very easy to beat in the long run, do work on your game and you will beat them. In the short-term it can be frustrating as my definition of hell is being card dead at a table full of calling stations late in a MTT. Should you get the normal quotient of cards you know you can stack off these fish who can't fold mid -pair to save their life.... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

The Elusiveness of Confidence Great post. I've been running mostly bad since the Summer of 2008 in the form of slow erosion of my BR. Ironically my bad run coincided with my taking studying the game seriously (guess I was just a lucky donk before). So I would run bad, take a break and study, come back with confidence, run bad, take break and study, etc... I have read all the books, watched vids from PXF, PSP, and TPE, analysied my hands manually and with SNGWiz, posted hands, and have had coaching from MSCELL. It seems that the more work I put into my game the worse i do. I am down about $1700 and my stats make me ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

But it works for everybody else Time and time again people have semibluffed all in with a flush draw on me and caught their flush cracking my trips, etc. So I tried that today but I didn't make it... Also annoying is I have had big pair - underpair 80/20 matchups cracked 5 out of the 6 last times I've have the big pair. But the reverse the big pair holds.
