Poker scene in Salt Lake City, Utah?
Check out the border states. Elko is 3 hrs away. Utah is Morman state. I'm sure there are some good underground games.

Article: The Ongoing Debate Over Tanking in Poker
I guess this brings back the debate of the shot clock.  This is one of the things I like about online poker.  You have a play clock and you have a time bank.  You cannot take excessive time.  Now there are those that save the time bank for bubble play and that irks me but that bank runs thin eventually.  Live poker needs something similar.  Once you see your hand, analyze stacks, you should have a proper idea of preflop.  My mind is constantly in gear at the table of pot size, stack sizes and my course of action for the next street in situations ABC.  I ...

I'm the Pappi
Let's try this again. My ex and I had 2 kids together. I have custody. My current wife and her ex had 3. She has custody. My wife and I will finally have 1 together, making 6. My wife,s ex is not involved in their lives. I'm going to adopt them. I view them as mine as I've been involved in lives since they were in diapers. Hopefully this clears things up. Roll Tide

What would you do please? Heads-up first prize $30 second place $0
I'm not sure if this is good practice or not but in spots like this I often shove pre. Every flop u have to assume you are beat and most often ur racing if called. I also do it to hide my HU weakness. HU AND short table tourney play are probably my weakest points.

I have no problem with the flop as we have to be more creative HU. I Def check flop and fold to aggression. The thing about those hands is we are going to flop big or have some massive draw. U got neither.

Realistic Winnings
It's a Lil bit of everything. On the right site u can play a satty into a tourney and cash huge. I've turned 3.30 into a24.00 ticket and finished 3rd for over 1k. That's just one instant. I'm not much for br management online bc I don't play often. I prefer live play and to me is a lot easier to turn 100 into 1500 live than online.

Article: Mike Sexton Questions the Value of WSOP Bracelets
A lot of the events are repetitive. I understand throwing in the lower buy in events for the pedestrian players to achieve the dream. I would have no problem cutting it down to 30ish events. I concur with the WSOPE and Pacific diluting the brand. Just run circuits there if u wish to expand your brand there. I also agree with keeping the final table in July. The death comment is a little extreme but could happen.

Looking for tips to calculating bet amounts in live games.
I count constantly in live whether it be cash or mtt. I am always studying bets and the pot even if I plan on folding. You get a groove for it after a while. I feel like it has improved my game.

What you would have done here?
6 handed cash I would be willing to 3 bet 88 pre here. disguising hand on the flop is good and I have no problem with the turn play but I would be willing to raise here to get a little more value from the hand. The river is the worse card possible and I would call instead of raise here. I think you can safely put him on the J here. I would call but I would not like it.

Another Flush
I agree with Wacky on bet sizing its horrible. U ate or committing yourself regardless of cards. I usually raise around 5xs in cash games live and online. Everyone always calls in both and I may as well get paid. I understand why u over bet to prevent chasing 4th spade and take hand down. Calling large bet means in most cases set, tptk or over pr and made flush. Pot committing is dangerous here. Smaller bet could induce a raise which would force u to re evaluate hand and could possibly save u money.

Hot 4.40 tough decision with 77 UTG+1
Any board over 77s and u check flop they are betting forcing u to fold. In this 5-6 M spot I'm very inclined to shove u will gain around 2k in chips just in everyone folding. A very high percentage of time you are flipping and sometimes u will run into smaller pairs.

Getting Kings all in pre early in a tournament.
I have only folded KK once in my life pre and it was to a woman. Most women that have an understanding of poker are very tight. I am happy to get it in with KK at all times especially in a rebuy and I have the bullets to reload and I am happy to get them in during a re entry. Good call bad results. Most people will make this move with QQ-AA and AK. Lucky them. AK was very over played there.

How to play in the top 6 of a final table?
U make that play every time. U can't be results oriented. Sounds like u need help shorthanded play. Maybe u should mix in some 6 handed sngs for practice and adjust your hand ranges. Seems like u may be paying tighter as FT goes on. U should be playing looser.
