Re:Moorman gets in 235bb's pre with AQ....WAT People get so insane in these threads. Wether its a good play or bad play doesnt matter really. Long term results speak for themself. Both these guys are world class online players. Moorman's play may be good be good or bad. Even the best players can make mistakes, but he got to where he is based on playing the way he does. I give them both crazy respect and if he thought a shove was justified there, then so be it. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:THERES NO CRYING IN BASEBALL with 14 left I had AK and we were 5 handed and two people werent at the table for some reason so really 3 handed right before the break. guy raised to 35K, I repop AK to 110K. He tanks and makes it 260K. I of course make the horrible ecision to play huge stack power poker and shove making him fold any AK,QQ or lower, maybe even KK is he makes sick sick folds (although whoever folds KK') anyways he had AA. He was a super nice guy and talked to me after I got 9th. He said he would define a hand like TT,JJ,QQ against an aggressive 3 bettor like me so I didnt feel as bad but considering what ... Re:THERES NO CRYING IN BASEBALL wow this hand is becoming a lord of the movies. Ridiculous. Another interesting thing about the hand. I said to annet just before the flop came down "I wasnt sure if we were racing or not. I think she thought I meant wether she had a pair or not. I actualy meant "I wasnt sure if you had two overs or not" :) its a sweet discussion on this hand since late in tournaments these are crucial situations. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:THERES NO CRYING IN BASEBALL also, I would never first sit down with a player that I have never ever played with before and assume that I can 4 bet him all in and he will fold. Going to a new table and not getting a table read on who's there before pushing them to a decision is never good at all. I think any solid player in the world would agree with me. A lot of random players 3 bet and then call all in against 4 bet shoves every single time they 3 bet. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:THERES NO CRYING IN BASEBALL hey I had the 55 hand against annets 4 bet shove. I put a lot of thought into the call. Everyone assumes I'm some random dude who doesnt know poker just because I called a 4 bet shove with 55. I thought I had the best hand. Certain things come up in live events as in body language and different situations such as someone moving to a new table and how they act in the first hand to establish their image and intimidation. These things factor into it. It's not just to online sharks going "I 3 bet , he 4 bets.......55 fold every time." In live poker you can make sicker calls ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |
