has the ban altered your view of the republican party Agreed there are democrats who voted for the bill in the house. If online gaming is to ever have a chance of surviving some serious money needs to be put into lobbying. Most of these politicians are up for bids regardless of their party affiliation. After corresponding with Rep. Gordon (D-TN) this became very clear. Gordon voted for the ban.......not becaue he necessarily wanted to ban online gambling, but because he had no understanding of the issue. My Farewell to the Republican Party Very well said Jeff.......the November elections were the first time I voted against the Republicans also. Funny that when the government wishes to prevent terrorism they attempt to do so by doing exactly what the terrorists wanted them to do, by taking away the freedoms we supposedly hold so dear. One can only hope that once the American people have been pushed one to many times, we will finally voice our opposition in unison. My Farewell to the Republican Party One huge problem is that loyal Reps/Dems bash those who see the need for a shift in power by claiming that they are single-issue voters. The problem with prohibition is that it starts at the edges and moves inward. If hockey were to be banned, fans of the sport would voice opposition that the government would be prepared to quell; however, if the fans of every other sport from football to water polo were to stand up at once, those in power might decide to not to needlessly impose restrictions when facing such a large group of angry voters. Fuck! Am I really turning into a shady greedy dealer? As an mtt player for this win I think the proper tip would be about 1k......I usually ask the floor to calculate 3% - buyin. 4k though very generous, is not grounds to ask for anything to be returned. If the guy tipped say 2 1k chips and 1 10k chip and then came back saying he made a mistake I could see that, but with the 4k amt (unless someone from staff could verify the guy said 400), I dont think he should get it back. I think tipping is important as a way to show that you appreciate a quality job. As a player : -I think its fine when the floor reminds those who cash in an mtt to take ... Posted in: Off Topic |

has the ban altered your view of the republican party My family and I have always been republican, however the continuous restriction of rights over the past few years is getting to be too much to take. The Patriot Act, as mentioned earlier, is very scary if you take the time to read and understand it. Also (im not a political person) there was the law which allows the federal government to seize private property for "neccesary commercial use. Then we get Senator Frist attaching the online gambling ban to the Port Security Bill. Despicable. Also the implication that this is part of a "Christian" agenda is really bad as well. America is, or at least should be about the people that make up the population, not the few whose poor decisions limit our freedom. Last Chaos free addictive online game / Wondering if any other p5ers besides me and the one who introduced me to it play. Its really 100% free which is great bc im not a pc gamer and never try this kind of game before. Also its been good for my tilt factor....since I can jump from stars to here fast and kill stuff. Corker or Ford for Senate? Im not a single issue voter, but since this is a poker discussion forum lets look at this as the main issue. Which of these two should online poker players be pushing for' Ive been looking online and so far it looks like Ford (D) is against online gambling in general...........Corker is a Republican, but I cannot find any specific mention of this issue regarding him. Im scared to have AA/KK on Stars. Crazy isnt it but i feel the same irrational fear on there..........what makes this fear irrational thought i wonder.......my records show that I've lost 9 of last 12 allins with AA hu on pokerstars which is surely varience........6 were to underpairs making sets the other three were more random .........45 off was my personal favorite. What I was getting at.......hu pf AA is supposed to be a heavy favorite esp vs underpairs........therefore its irrational to fear this scenario. Pokerstars I cant win on stars either......and to me its structure resembles dise the most .......where i win consistently. Pokerstars-Just Sick. Ummmmmmmm if i had a magical hole thingy i wouldnt call if i had only 2-3 outs....................................sickness comes and goes for the last week its been all sickness on dise and that is my best site who knows why this shit happens, but id keep a roll on different sites so that if im running bad on one i can move to another..........if i keep running bad on 3-4 sites at a time im not running bad i am playing bad so then i can work on fixing that.
