Triple Crown Elite That will happen. I finished last year on a 100k downswing. I played pretty poorly during it though and ran worse. Posted in: Poker Community |

Triple Crown Elite I sleep 4-6 hours a night. I almost never get less than 4 hours or more than 8 hours. I have a social life but not as much as I did when I was 18-24 obv. I kind of grew out of partying real hard about the same time I started grinding life real hard. I go out like once a week to drink and stuff now and go out with the gf a few times a week. Confirmed human. I had a degree in finance / entrepreneurship and had taken classes in programming so I was a pretty great fit for an automated trading group like the one I joined. Triple Crown Elite stock options market making. I like to sound fancy. Edit: Options are basically the right to buy/sell a stock at a certain price over a certain period of time. Posted in: Poker Community |

Triple Crown Elite Right now I play 6m and HU cash across multiple sites. Last year I played primarily 5/10+ 6 max and HU and finished at lower stakes due to a huge downswing. Year before I played 2/4-5/10 Full Ring. I got supernova elite both those years. The year before that I played mainly MTTs and actually posted on P5s. Posted in: Poker Community |

Re:Supernova elite question There are 17 I'm jimmyvjv13 on 2+2. My SN is ZepHendrix. OP, I play 24 tables of 2/4 - 5/10 NL Full Ring. I know FR is a lot different from HU but I am playing 12x the tables you proposed at higher stakes and I still have to play 4 hours a day for SNE. Your proposal will not get you anywhere close to SNE, in fact, I don't think you could get SNE if you played 24 hours a day with your plan. Also, the VPP calculator from the site overestimates VPPs by a ridiculous amount. I don't know who built that thing but it is a joke, so don't use those numbers in your estimations. Re:sighhh so how much you down? I saw you on pokerstars at 2/4. LOL at 1700 under expectation. First of all, that number is basically meaningless so do not get too upset about it. I ran over 12k under expectation at my first month of midstakes and have seen 60k under EV graphs before. Believe me when I say that looking at that number will do nothing but tilt you. Just play your best. Oh, and down 5k on the weekend. Posted in: Bad Beats |

Re:Cash game level analysis Start at .5/1 if you have the roll. I like to have 80 buyins but that isn't necessary really. 50 is probably good. I can only speak for pokerstars but the biggest jump in terms of difficulty is from .5/1 to 1/2. The skill level is just higher at 1/2 and a lot of regs never leave these stakes. There are also WAYYYY more regs at 1/2. 1/2 to 2/4 is a decent jump but not as big. The game is much more aggro but it is so much more fun because you actually can stack off at 2/4 in hands that don't involve top set vs middle set. 2/4 and 3/6 are basically the same. 5/10 is a little harder ... Re:What's your play w/AK in cash game, 200BB deep? Lots of bad advice in this thread. To stack AK with 200 BBs I would need some solid evidence that the villian is a turbo donkey. Flatting is okay but only because you are really deep but in general flatting AK to a three bet is pretty bad. Because you're deep though, the best play here is probably flat but I am only continuing with an absolute monster on the flop. If you have 100 BBs, this is much more trivial and it is basically a raise/call spot or fold. There is nothing wrong with folding here btw. In fact, I fold here a lot. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Another reason why I won't buy a nice car while living in Chicago The first night my roomates and I moved to Chicago my roomate had his car broken into the same way. Brick through window. About a year later my buddy was staying with us and it got broken into on Halsted St on the middle of a Sunday. Halsted is a really busy street too. It just goes to show you that this can happen anytime, anywhere. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:Folding KKs preflop I play cash and I can say that in the past two days I have had KK vs AA 9 times, none the other way. I can also say that none of them were folds, and it cost me ~$5,000 Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:9-Handed Cash Game .50/1 Expected Hourly Return Rate LOL. This is the hardest jump in cash games and I think a majority of those who have 24 tabled between 100NL and 1000NL would agree. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Amazing Shaun Deeb Story My friend was killed in the streets of Oxford, OH where I went to school by a taser. The cops tasered him when he was trying to break up a fight and he had a heart attack and died. He was doing nothing wrong, got tasered, and was killed. Same thing easily could have happened to deeb and this story goes from 'awesome' to a tragedy. Posted in: Off Topic |

Re:We need true "fast" tables in stars cash games IMO Yeah, I pick up on stuff 24 tabling and have no problem observing other players' habits. I am not saying mega tabling is for everyone but any decent player should be able to play 4 tables with no problem. What are you, 90' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:Interesting cash game hand with big draw...do you call off getting the right price? Xerxes is a pretty good player for these stakes and somewhat nitty. I would rather lead this flop than c/r. He either has a set or K high flush draw imo, more likely a set. I hate this line but now with these odds I think this is a call. Plus, you are oop, if Xerxes flats and the turn is a blank, what is your play then' That is why this line sucks. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:What's an online pro's average day/week like? Agree, very, very well said JD. I figured I would share my average day. I am a mid stakes cash 24 tabler. I have a full time job (which is very flexible, luck for me) tho so I wake up about 6 a.m., go to work until p.m. and then go to class or do homework from 6 til 9 usually because I am getting my MBA. Then I usually drink a redbull and play from 9:30 til 1 or so. I am usually a little tired but I can usually focus pretty well. On the weekends, I usually try to play at least one full day either Saturday or Sunday all morning / afternoon and try to play from 9 at night to 3 or 4 a.m. on ... Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Re:When do you stop at a cash table?? If you have this mindset, you shouldn't be playing cash. If you curse yourself about getting your money in with trips against a flush draw, then you shouldn't be playing cash, and probably shouldn't be playing poker at all, honestly.
