Re(2): soaring eagle
Yeah, it really is a bad poker room. The only No Limit game they spread is 1/2 100Max, they run occasional tourneys, the structure for the monthly tournament is bad, the structure for the weekly tourney is worse.

I know he was a good player, I actually thought I was well ahead of the player who shoved, Joao I wasn't sure. Even if Joao wins and I win the sidepot I only lose around 110k in the hand. Believe me when I say that it's a much easier fold to make when the buttons aren't sitting in front of you.

I had them both covered, worst case scenario I have 300k going to 4-handed, best case I'm monster CL with 3 left. I didn't think I was up against that much and I got lucky. Oh, and THIS is how you win tournaments. Re(6): FTP, please respond. Chop done on counts before crash or after crash chip counts?
FullTilt gave me 7700 for my chip chop. I'm estimating that I would've gotten around 1700 with my 40k stack. I folded AK when the other guy who reconnected pushed all in. Had I called that and won, that would've been worth like another 8k potentially. I didn't want to get knocked out, and I didn't think there was any way it was going to stand. Thanks FullTilt! Re(4): FTP, please respond. Chop done on counts before crash or after crash chip counts?
Then I got very lucky. Had 40k in the 150 when the servers went down, stole to 200k. Essentially FullTilt's screw up made me 6k. Thanks FullTilt!

Re(2): FTP, please respond. Chop done on counts before crash or after crash chip counts?
So if I did benefit from the short time between the crash and when everybody was allowed to come back (when the tourney was voided) then I get to keep the money'

Re(3): interesting cash games question - about when to leave
Don't think about results in terms of individual sessions. You should play the QQ for the full value you can get out of that hand, and then leave no matter what happens in that hand. Seeing hands for free that you wouldn't otherwise is +EV.

Re(1): Good Enough to Make a Living?
I honestly think that there are many players that have the talent to make a living out of online poker. About 10-20% of those players have the bankroll management or tilt control to be able to play professionally. Also, many of them may not have the will to grind it out playing everyday. Playing recreationally and as an income supplement is completely different from playing professionally.

Re(1): Since not all RNG(Random number generators) are created equal.....
I used to be one of those who believed that Stars was rigged, and I refused to play there for a time because of it. I have recinded those thoughts for two reasons. 1. It is unlikely that their RNG is screwed up. 2. If it is rigged, it is rigged for everyone equally. That said, I think there may be something f'ed up with their RNG on Stars. I say this simply for the reason that if you asked most players who have played on Stars and other sites and asked them this question, most would say Stars has the worst RNG. Nobody has said FullTilt, nobody has said Party. I can't prove that anything is ...

Re(1): Heads-up play
There really is no book I've seen that has a great section on HU play. HU is different than any other type of poker, and is much more about playing your opponent, and basing what you do off of what he does. HOH2 has a decent starting chapter for HU, so I'd say start there, but mostly you should play HU Sngs on some site like PStars for experience.

Re(1): How is PrtyPSux not ranked?
I also support PrtyPSux being ranked. I watched him in the GSOP SH event, and he completely dominated it from about 20 players to the end. His other cashes and playing ability should be more than enough to get him ranked.

Re(8): PrtyPSux (HastoBRigged) wins GSOP Event #1
I played this for a long while, and went out in 28th. After that, I railed Prty for a while, and I can say that this guy flat out dominated. There are only a few players I've seen that can play like Prty can. With this recent run he's had, I would say he has to be ranked, at least on the players to watch list.

Re(1): Making it to the Next Level
Luck helps. A lot. There will be runs of coming close a lot of times in a row. Just keep playing well at how you play, and you will eventually get a good enough run of cards to make it to the final table.

Re(2): Where is your home base?? and why?
I guess FullTilt has improved their support from a few months ago. I dumped money to someone when it was heads up on a cash table (which I didn't know was illegal at the time, but am now realizing it was quite stupid) and it took them 5 weeks to do an investigation of my account. After that, I had to fax my ID in, and it took another week for them to process that and let me have my account back.

Party is my home base. Bad players in cash games, games are always running, and their new tournament structure is good for the bigger buyin events.

Re(1): Cash Game Books
For online play, I can only recommend books for Limit Holdem. If you want to play 3/6 and below, then read Small Stakes Holdem by Sklansky and Malmuth. If you want to play 5/10 and above, I highly recommend Theory of Poker by Sklansky, and Jennifer Harman's section on LHE in Super System 2.

Re(2): BB/100 target for low limit holdem
For 2/4 and below, you can make probably a max of 5BB/100. I have played at limits from 5/10 to 20/40 for about 20k hands, and even with a recent downswing have won at 3.4BB/100. I think the highest sustainable rate at those limits is probably around 4BB if you're some crazy god at limit. As for your second question, people keep sticking around with crap and calling at every level I've played at. This is why I continue to profit at these levels. Trust me, you want them calling down.

Re(2): Taking Your Tourney game to the Next Level
So do the teaching sites go real in depth, or do they pretty much teach the basics of how to be successful' I feel I have a good grasp of how to play in most situations, mostly from experience and HOH 1 and 2. I haven't really watched many of the best players in action, although I have played with them on occasion, and I guess I don't really notice what makes them rattle off final table after final table. I know they are likely playing a higher volume than I am, but that can't be the only reason they have more big cashes more consistently than me. So I'm bumping this to see if I can get some ...

Re(7): Amazing (or no?t) Kenna James hand from FSN TV
Yes, making it a bad fold IMO. Unless somehow the 25k constituted more than 20% of his stack, I don't see how he folds, doesn't matter if he's wrong or not. Especially if you consider his chances in the tournament are roughly the same if he folds or if he calls and loses. However, his chances are significantly greater if he calls and wins. Bad fold IMO.

Taking Your Tourney game to the Next Level
I guess this will be my introduction post of sorts to these forums. I have been posting on the FCP forums for about a year or so, but decided to post here more often because of the amount of top notch tournament players that post here. I have been playing for almost 2 years or so, with a few good cashes in tournaments of 5k+. However, I don't quite know how to take my game to the next level. Basically, I play solid, adjust my aggressiveness level to my table, but don't know how to flat out dominate a table as of right now. My question to anyone who chooses to answer is how do you become a ...

Re(1): Antonius VS Daniel N.
OK, as a regular poster on FCP, I guess I am kinda biased toward DN, but I'll respond anyway. Daniel knows he is likely an underdog, and he will likely lose to Antonius in the long run. However, he has the roll to take a beating from Patrik and still be fine financially. Once Patrik takes 500k or so off of Daniel, I think he's smart enough to set his ego aside and realize he's probably learned whatever he can from Patrik, and that he won't win here.
