Reshove at FT of local live tourny
Hey guys, just had a quick question about a hand that occured the other night at the local cardroom here. here is some quick info about the tourny. It was $40 buy in, 2K starting stack, turbo tourny (almost seemed as though a hyper turbo, as the blinds were relatively short in time and increased 2x every level). After the first hour it was pretty much open shove mode. Once I made it to the final table (already ITM w/ 7ppl left) I become pretty much tied with three people for chip lead each of us having about 30K with the blinds at 2K/4K/500. Im on the button and get dealt 55....it folds ...

I have been playin poker for about a year now and feel like I have a fundamental knowledge of the game however I truly want to take my game to the next step which I feel is possible with the help of a mentor/tutor. Defndroangels, Im not sure if ur being sarcastic or what, but you have some 2000 post, so it seems ur pretty active, and prolly been playing awhile. Maybe your playing outside you roll, you playin cash games or what' I usually lose alot of my BR playin cash game outside my BR. Anyway personally i think pokerstars just maliciously rigged the site against you , i dunno tho, might want to email them about it.

I dont think PhiAlpha was saying villian overbet because he was scared of a flush (though a possibility) but rather that he reraised with a monster draw where he is even money againt AA and not too far behind a set. but i dunno

Yea hand one I am probably calling. The reason for this is because I think UTG is shoving with basically ATC and MP is probably isolating with 77+ or 88+ and probably AJs+, i think most of the time you have his range crushed, however its sick you had that read on him thus i dont think it was neccesarily a bad fold. Hand 2. Has he been making comments like that the whole time' Was he always raising a little more than 3x or what' with him being loose and his dumba$$ comment im probably shipping it like you did, just unlucky that time.

I could possibly see him having 22 perhaps and with that weird line he took but i doubt it. Anyway I wouldnt put him on 88, im raising from the BB with 88 after a limp from the cutoff seat (it just looks weak). He could possibly have 68, but still you have a full im going to almost always think im ahead or at most be even with him, so def raise for value. Also the only way you could have maybe, possibly try and get more from him is if you overbet on the raise, making it seem like you were trying to steal it, but like future said it is early in the game and there are prolly no reads from the ...

gotta ship it in.....you said he thinks he is the type to think he is on HSP, so I am assuming he probably wants to try and "outplay" his oppenants with moves like this obvious overbet. Like doubledown said, if he had a set or possibly two pair he would probably just c/c and wait for you to fire again so he could come over the top. Btw how much did he have behind him' was the 200 his whole stack' or did he have you covered. Has he been aggresive the whole game' How have you been playing' I assume tight, passive'

yea dude is pretty sick...but I had heard that he makes a percentage of full tilt for his salary as a pro there, while i heard others like benyamine (when he was there) makes an hourly rate (dont remember for sure) j/w if you all have heard nething like this. Im sure if its true ivey gets a percentage he prolly BANKS!!
