Is The Big Hurt a First Ballot HOF? Anyone who would take Frank Thomas in his prime hitting 3rd or 4th in their lineup over Mark McGwire in his prime is on crack imo. What Mark McGwire did 1998-99 was just absurdly godlike. Frank Thomas seemed almost forgotten after the late 90s. Still think Thomas is first ballot tho Posted in: Off Topic |

100NL Rush Poker Hand. The problem with getting it in here is you are rarely more than 50 50 against his get it in range which should be sets, overpairs, and bigger flush draws. If we flat it lets him make mistakes like barreling with air again or committing more money with a dominated hand. Also, playing weak two gappers to ep raises with no reads and then not even knowing what to do when you flop gin seems kinda bad. Posted in: Poker Discussion |

Question about backing/makeup Need to know how this works in a "standard" backing arrangement for MTTs Lets assume a backing contract that just started, were the player cant leave while he is in makeup, and there is a 50 50 split of profits. The backee recieves 100 dollars to enter a tournament, he wins it for 10k. He pays back the initial 100 and they split the 9900. Next week, the backee recieves another 100 dollars to enter a tourney, and he fails to cash.....is he now 100 dollars in makeup' Despite being up 9800 net profit on the stake' Posted in: Poker Discussion |

How can I get more value? ^ mainly what he said. Against good players flatting or shoving is most likely correct. Against donks just reraise small and he cant help himself but to call and spazz shove a 3 3 6 flop with AJ high. Posted in: Poker Discussion |
