Credit Card Minimums / Fees No, I am really referring to bars that have $20-$40 minimums for tabs. Sometimes I'll buy a round for the group, then we are ready to go somewhere else, but I haven't "hit the minimum." (which they don't tell you about until after you try to close out.) Credit Card Minimums / Fees Does anyone else hate when a merchant (ie bar), tries to make you charge a minimum to your card, or they tack on a "credit card processing fee'" This is against the TOS the merchant has with the CC company, and they can get hit with big fines for doing this. Whenever I run into this situation I tell them to STFU, the bouncers tell me to GTFO, and I report them to the CC companies. ( I always wait to stir things up until after my group is ready to leave) Anyone else hate these BS fees and minimums' Posted in: Off Topic |

What's my play here? So, everything has turned around for the better! My recruiter said she would call me on Wednesday, if I got the job. Wednesday came around, and I didn't get a call, but I gave my boss my two weeks anyways, because I couldn't stand working and not getting paid anymore. At that point, he offered me either a raise at this company, or a base+salary job at his other company. So that made for a good backup option. Yesterday (thursday), I got an email from the recruiter saying she wanted me to do one more interview (kind of sounded like a second chance/second opinion type thing, I think the other ... What is a Duplex Down? Sorry for the pointless thread for everyone out, but Google has come up dry. I am looking into a place in the city, and the agent told me it was a "duplex down." What's my play here? UPDATE: I interviewed with three different people (1st Recruiter, 2nd Sales VP, 3rd Account Exec-position I am interviewing for). First two went great, the last went pretty bad. 3rd guy was more like my peer, and he wanted to grill me. Asked questions like "Pretend you are calling me trying to sell me (blank)." Anyways, I have a feeling I will not get the job, but I still want to leave my current job. Problem is, I am $7K behind on my draw. So if I quit, I have to pay that back, and the longer I stay, the farther I will fall behind. I feel like an indentured servant. Any plays here' Guess ... Posted in: Off Topic |

Soldiers=Loved, Cops=Hated; Why?? Elkhart, IN ey' That is a known speed trap. I got pulled over there and when the cop handed me my ticket, he also accidentally handed me his sheet filled with tallies of "in state" "out of state" tickets he had written (for obvious reasons). Also, the city has a "court supervision" (as most cities do) which is basically paying off the city to not report to your insurance. Something like $500 and then if you get another ticket within a year, you also pay the ticket fee. Such a joke of a system. Posted in: Off Topic |
