Earthquake in Vancouver Island
I live in Powell River about 200km from Port Alice - We felt it... Nothing too much. No damage reported, no injuries, no tsunami warning... They had a good shake on the North Island though from what i hear.

Buddy knocked phone in sink - What to do?
My phone was charging on the windowsill this past weekend above the sink. Buddy was doing the dishes and knocked the phone into said sink. Phone is pooched. I already bought a new phone (Blackberry 9780 old phone - Motorola Axi something is new one) and im not going to ask him either way or let it cause any shit between us, but what would you guys do/expect'

If the car was given to you and your gf, then it's your car... You should get the whole $450 and if you wanted to give some of that to your mom, then that would be your choice. As others have said - Why is your mom selling the car that she gave to you anyways. That doesn't make any sense... Also - good work on selling a busted ass 92' Cressida for $450. I don't know if i would pay that for one that was in running condition.

So I have two cell phone lines - One that I don't use that the contract just expired on and the one i use daily that has 2.5 years left on the contract. I called into Bell today to cancel the other one and they gave me a pretty sweet offer that i'd rather have over my current plan. I have an iPhone 3G on my plan now that i lost my Blacbkberry Bold a month or two ago. I put an ad up on craigslist saying that i was winning to give my iPhone away if someone takes over the contract. I think its a fair deal, but who knows.... We were looking at 55%/45%. I just wanted others opinions as i want to be fair. There is a value on intillectual property, although not high. I think were at a decent ground. I like the 50/50% profit sharing and my 55/45% ownership.

Im starting an online business over the next month that will require about $4000 in initial costs. We will be selling products from local businesses. I have all of the business ideas and structure/plan layed out. I have put together all of the functuionality and am having the website built with all of the features etc. I want a partner for this venture and have talked to my brother about coming on. As Sol said, the prices of rotors have come down, although to buy factory grade rotors, you will probably pay about $60-80 each. If your have life left on them, get them turned. I would bet they are fine providing you are good to your truck. I can't remember if your truck has rotors that come off after you remove the calipers, but if so, do it yourself. For $160, or $180 im going to say yes. - Jack up truck on blocks so there is 1" under each wheel - Buy rotors and pads as well as a 50 series allen bit (i think) - Remove wheels - Remove calipers with allen bit - Replace rotors - Compress ...

You have to look at whether or not the value of the car merits a repair if it is something serious. If your car is mechanically sound and you think the $ will make the car run for a while longer then go for it, but if you can find another car for a good deal, jump on that. You could get off lucky and you linkage may have slipped into neutral and is lo longer functioning... Does park still work when you put it in that position' I'd check your fluid to see if there is an issue there, and if all is well then take to a mechanic and see what he has to say... Could be a lot of things ...

100nl FTP cash (Rush vs regular tables)
All i can say is that i have that the game is a lot tighter in Rush than in regular ring games. The ability to fold and receive a new picking right away leaves the question out of playing other hands. Not to say there aren't people picking up on this, but i feel as though the game is a lot tighter overall... I have been running awful this month, and have seen stacks go on two out rivers it seems everytime i get it in good, so my opinion might be bias right now...

Well, if you can get your timing chain, water pump and head gasket done for $1800, that's a pretty great deal. I don't know what kind of car you drive, but the other option is to buy/lease a new economy car for around 10k.... new car/warranty... good shout
