• Re:play with KK, right or wrong?

Agreed...flatting would be a horrible play and fold's not an option with K's. Gotta put it in there. Unlucky...move onto next tourney.

  • Cooler or Different Strategy Needed?

    Funky format in a festival poker game, but results would be the same even for a standard game. We all had around $30 - $50 Hold'em: Open limits 1-2, NL on raises SB: $0 BB: $1 UTG: Folds Me (UTG+1) - $40 (Q-Q) - Raise to $5 (UTG+2) - Calls $5 (CO-1) - Calls $5 (CO) - Folds Button - Calls $5 SB - Calls $5 BB - Calls $5 Flop: A-K-A SB - Checks BB - Bets $1 Me - Raise to $5 UTG+2 - Calls $5 CO-1 - Folds Button - Calls $5 SB - Folds BB - Calls $5 Turn: A-K-A-(Q) BB - Bets $2 Me - All-in for $30 UTG

  • Re:Live poker hand, what should I have done?

I agree. This hand wasn't played badly. You kept your losses to a minimum doing what you did....but looking at it, a pre-flop call UTG+1 and a call of a small raise after, smells like a small pocket pair. Then the min-raise on the flop of your bet screams set if what you say about him is true (solid player, doesn't get too far out of line, etc.) Definitely raise more pre-flop. Granted you may not get a whole lot of action if you do that, but if you do get any action, you're getting paid

  • Re:Poker with hole cards exposed

Then have it start out at Play Money. I am a recreational player, but one that wants to learn to play optimally as opposed to getting lucky. A new game variant of hold'em may let the newbie pick up hold'em faster, but the jist of the game can be learned playing it standard. Having the cards face-up would make virtually little to no difference in terms of learning the game other than knowing what hands win and what hands lose. I mean, if you really need help knowing that AA > QQ (though

  • Re:Need some tips?

this is why theres still profit in the game. Also why you have to win about 500 70/30 situations per tourny
hahah ARE you saying i am bad? one hand my friend. and I was paying attention to the dynamics of the table and a push was good. I turned $66 into $600 grinding the $3 90 mans. didn't know I had to defend myself posting that hand history. did it for just a laugh
I'm not going to say you're bad

  • Re:The $4.40's are hillarious!

then i expect you to win. or at least final table.
i'm pretty sure stars has a lotto system where they select players players at random from the lowest rungs of the poker ranks and make them donkgods for the day.
If that's true then I'm getting royally screwed out of the donkgod category. I'm getting the opposite treatment. Stars DOOMSWITCH....ON!!!
