I would go broke much more slowly playing the high buy-in tournaments.

I've got the same problem. I've been working on it, and i'm not nearly as bad as i used to be, but i know i'll never do much in tournaments until i really fix it. It's especially bad when i've been losing, so i need to be able to cash out and leave.
