I've been going on about this topic for, I dunno, 5-6 years now; I'm delighted to see a highly respected young professional singing the same tune. Look folks, there are a million good reasons for not berating bad players, but let me give two extremely important (and very different) ones here: 1. It's bad for the game. I agree that few players will actually start playing better if you berate them, but some will get up and leave - I've seen it happen many times. Furthermore, it takes

I just came back from a home game at a friend’s house. And as I was going to that game, and while I was sitting in that game, and when I was leaving the game, I thought to myself: “Why would anybody ever choose casino poker over a good home game?” Now, I’ve been to some bad home games, and they are really quite terrible – not the least because it’s such a letdown after the expectations that you built up. But let me tell you about this game: It’s held in the garage of a house that these two ladies
did they get sync breaks yet???
Yup, we did Here's the official announcement: A quick update on the sync'd tournament breaks... We are going to have to extend the beta period for a bit. We found a bug in the rebuy tournaments and won't be able to synchronize them for a couple of weeks. The good news is that the freezeouts (including the $50K, $100K, Aussie Millions qualifiers) are working beautifully. So as of noon Eastern Time today (Tuesday

Hey folks - We hear you about the issue of not having time to do a rebuy before the first hand of an R&A event. The Minister of Tournament Arts and I are running an experiment this morning to see if we can fix this on the fly or we have to get a software change. But we agree it's an issue; one way or another we'll address it. Best regards, Lee Jones Cake Poker Cardroom Manager

Hi Ibiza - So, I get the feeling that UB gets most of your business. What can we do to get it instead? I see your comments about low-stakes MTTs; I'll certainly pass those to our Minister of Tournament Arts. What else? Best regards, Lee Jones Cake Poker Cardroom Manager

Hi folks - We had some routine software maintenance go wrong this morning; it registered some people into tournaments incorrectly so we took it down ASAP. If you were affected in some way, please drop a note to support and they'll straighten things out. Our apologies for the glitch. Best regards, Lee Jones Cake Poker Cardroom Manager lee@cakepoker.com

As cardroom manager for Cake Poker , I get a lot of emails from players. Suggestions, complaints, requests – they run the gamut. I reply to as many of them as I can – being accessible to Cake’s customers is one of my most important responsibilities. Unfortunately, I can’t always give my correspondent what he wants, and that’s most common when money is involved. Specifically, when the email is of the form “I lost <$X> from my account because I did <unwise or naïve thing Y>.” Almost always
