At first I thought they were giving up too much, but as long as the 1st round picks they give up dont end up in the top 10 this is a great deal. Kessel was the 5th pick in a good draft if I recall, and giving up a mid 1st rounder and a mid-late first rounder (god willing haha) + a 2nd for the 5th pick is around the right price. Now factor in that its NOT the 5th pick, but a guy that has established himself as a goal scorer in the league and it starts to look even better, especially since hes only
Like, even if I was a totally devout Christian, I still don't think I would understand the concept of prayer. Okay, according to Christians, God has a master plan, far grander and more complex than any of us can understand. Sooo yea, your argument makes no sense. Not that will deter you fro thinking that prayer is retarded, I'm just sayin'.
I don't want to get involved or anything like that, but this statement isn't true at all. Believing

It isn't a requirement in the league to 'go big', however if you are a GM and you look at the teams you have to play the most it might be a good idea to build your team to play against that style. The Bruins are huge, the Leafs are huge on the blueline and getting tougher upfront everyday. The Habs have almost no chance of getting through 2 rounds in the playoffs. I personally don't even see them making the playoffs next year with the way the div ision is shaping up. Even if they

Eric Staal? Chad Larose? Yes to Scott Walker? The Habs are built to get 85-90pts and get pounded in the first round when it really matters. You have a young goalie who struggled and you replaced your best shutdown Dman with Jaroslav Spacek.

I think the biggest mistake people make is they assume a player will be able to do the same things he was doing on his previous team. Hal Gill is not a shutdown defender. He is an anchor in front of his own net on the PK , his partner has to chase the puck into both corners. Hal Gill can't be better than a #4 dman on a good team, he just can't. Keep in mind that Pittsburgh played a puck possession game and its a lot easier to shut guys down when they never have the puck. Unless the Habs get

At even odds you definitely have the best of it but I will bet $500 they miss the playoffs if we can bet an additional $200 on them not getting out of the first round. So $700 each held by somebody we can agree upon.

I registered for day 1D yesterday and the guy at the counter told me that no day can 'sell out' but that they are going to temporarily close day 1D to try and get more players to play on other days. He said July 4th, Day 1B has a ton of Europeans and not much else.
