• Re:TURBO SNGS VS REG SNGS
can turbos effect regular play as well? like can turbos make bad habbits..
It can if you let it. You have to play a different style in turbos vs. regulars. If you can't separate those styles and you let the turbo style bleed into your regular play, then yes, it will negatively affect your non-turbo playing.

Agree with all those above. Never ever folding here.

  • Re:In your opinion, what does it take to be a consistent winner?

    1. Bankroll management 2. Tilt control 3. Learn and review your play (read books, review your hands, review others hands, etc.)

  • Re:Too aggressive or Standard???

Fine play. Very loose call from the villain

  • Re:I wanted the action--flopped straight Leak

It's unlucky and borderline over-aggressive on the turn/river. I think the flop play is okay. The turn and river are based on the range your assigning to the villain. I would have been scared by the heart on the turn and check/called, unless you thought there was no flush draw possibility. And with the board pairing on the river I probably would also check/call as now you're beat by everything in the villain's range but AQ, A8 or Q8.

  • Re:Building Bankroll

Welcome to the site. Read this excellent article about BR management: http://www.pocketfives.com/poker-articles/basic-bankroll-management-2425952. And when you're feeling hot and think you should "step outside your limits" and "try for the big one", throw away your mouse so you cant play. (Or, if you don't have self control problems like many of us do, then just reread the article and keep grinding within limits.). Good luck

  • Re:Cake Poker

Depends on how (and through which entity) your rakeback is set up. Through P5's I'm pretty sure it's once a month between the 10th and 15th.

  • FT of Stars 3R

Made the FT of the Stars 3R. I've been running poorly the past few days, so I'm pretty pumped. Dead tired though...been up for 22 hours, playing poker for like 15 and its the 9th hour of this tourney
