It's not a matter of figuring out how to run routes. I know he's a smart guy. But there's a difference between knowing the different routes, and knowing them the way an NFL receiver knows them. He has to be able to go six yards down, cut at a precise angle, take X steps and look for the ball. If he goes five yards, or seven, or cuts too shallow or too deep, it's probably an incomplete pass, and possibly a pick. There are a lot of smart players, who were great collegiate receivers
