couple of sick brags: 1) many, many moons ago i refused a hu chop with jovial gent in a 100r before i/everyone knew what a sicko he was (i obv lost) 2) shortly after this i think i was the first to figure out that jovial gent = muckilteo(dise) = atimos since he was never a fame seeker and tried to fly under the radar and didnt publicize his names. i realized then that this guy had sick skills and was going to be someone to keep an eye on and have had a ton of respect for him ever since. huge congrats

I'm a CPA but I am not giving professional advice here only my personal opinion /disclaimer, so take it fwiw. rakeback is technically a contra-expense, not income, but whether you count it as a reduction of expense or additional income will make no difference on your net income so this whole argument seems pretty irrelevant. You absolutley need to account for it one way or the other. In some cases, having a higher GROSS income can have detrimental effects on limitations of other deductions so
