The skins are all pretty similar--you can get 33% rakeback at most of them (Cake, Players Only, Doyles Room, Power Poker), and it's calculated the exact same way regardless of the skin. The games are the same, and the major tournaments are the same. The only real differences you'll find are the promotions. We are currently running a variety of exclusive promos at these skins, including: Cake - $20,000 Nov. rake race and $5,000 freeroll Players Only - $10,000 Nov. rake race and $2,000 freeroll
They are getting ready to switch over when they leave the US market here shortly after December 1st.
This is just random baseless fear mongering. There's no "real news" about any of this. As is the usual case, we typically suspend or ban posters who repeatedly post false information as if it's a fact. You can expect the same if this continues.

I actually agree with OP about this. I had a talk with our content team about this very thing yesterday... I think sometimes our writers are really wound up in the mainstream news and don't notice the stuff that's going on online, and they're going to need to start doing a better job of that
Just curious if UB ever got back to you guys on this?
Hey Mark, I'm bugging them about this again right now actually... FWIW, the guy I work with on this stuff is extremely responsible and with it....I have a feeling this is a bit of a complicated thing he's looking into, but I am going to stay on him and make sure we know what's up ASAP.

Back in the day, poker sites would spend just about any amount of money to get players in the door and keep them interested. A lot has changed as the market has been maturing, and there are many fewer freebies these days. There are definitely softer players on Cake and also some of the other medium sized sites. Merge Network (Carbon Poker, Poker Nordica) has some very soft players as well. But you're not going to find massive overlays and a ton of donkeys anywhere these days except the Bodog

I wouldn't say a product of the buy in. I see these kinds of plays in the $215 buy in tournaments... You have to understand that a beginning player doesn't think like people who post in poker forums about these hands. When you see a situation like that, you probably think "I have an opportunity to pick up some chips here." A beginning player isn't really thinking about picking up chips, inducing folds, being aggressive, etc. They're just seeing a hand that looks good, looking

Hi A - yes you would still get rakeback on hands before being verified. All being verified means is that your stats haven't been uploaded into our system yet since you've started playing. Full Tilt updates your stats once per day in their system, and then our team does so accordingly. Just to add to this, since you have your Full Tilt name in your P5s profile, I went ahead and checked our Full Tilt sign up report, and your name strongamonga is in there. So you will be getting rakeback for
Well I'll be honest, personally I would play as long as I could, probly a good 72 hours+ str8 without turning off my comp or signing out, and make as much $$$ as possible. With all the variance, bad beats and frustration in poker, I would take this opportunity to boost my bankroll as much as possible to be in a better situation in the future. Plus I have others that depend on me finanially (mother, family etc) and would use this situation to help them as well
