This post is riddiculous, and basically the reason I hate backing people and am planning on quitting soon. So many horses have a riddiculous false sense of entitlement and such a riddiculous perspective on how a backing arrangement is supposed to work. Your backer is putting up his money to put you into tournaments, if at any point he wants to stop for any reason then that is his perogative, he owes you nothing in the form of advanced notice, apology, or an explanation. I understand that it sucks
What we can say for sure about this hand is that no one backing up Billy wanted to hear people come in here and rag on him right after such a heart break... this is a sweat thread not a hand discussion. I honestly think elusively is 100% correct and it was a mistake, I never argued for how sick the hand was or how bad Moon was. Moon could be a world class player (probably is) and that just proves my point that I was saying no one had enough back info to know
I don't think he would agree. Whats your line?
I don't want to get into a strategy discussion tbh, not really the point of this thread. All I will say is that I think that the play is bad, and trying to defend by saying that he is "going for the win" is so absurd that words can't even begin to describe it. I forgot to say in my last post... Really impressive run Billy and series overall, I know you are prlly disapointed, but I'm

I'm confused, are you saying that if you miss an event it hurts your overall total money won? Why? If this is a stipulation I'm not interested, otherwise I may be...

folding the turn in this spot is horrific. just go all in. and please dont ever bet/fold this either.
so if Demidov had some trash hand instead of AQ would everyone say he played the hand horribly? I think it's pretty obvious he folds to a 5bet pre since Phillips only goes with AA and maybe KK so putting in 14 million more into a 30 million pot is not the best idea. and fwiw I played with Phillips on Day 2 for at least the last 2 levels and I distinctly remember him for playing bad(a rare occurence for me to remember someone) and making genuine comments like
im just confused what hes staking his reputation on?
pretty sure he is saying that all the people who "staked their reputation" on Jason Gray being innocent are going to end up looking really stupid.
