Download MalwareBytes and run it; that should take care of 99% of spyware. If you are still having issues, you can download Spyware Dr, but in order to run the program and remove the issues, you need to pay. In the past when I have had something on my computer that Malware and Spybot Search and Destroy are not getting rid of, I've downloaded the trial version of Spyware Dr, ran it, and then when it comes to the results (when they want you to pay to fix your problems) I've written them down

Like others have said, get AVG free edition for virus protection. Besides that, just run spybot and malware once a week or so (and make sure to update). Spybot also includes a program called Spybot SD resident that runs continually, and is supposed to block spyware from running on your computer in the first place. I also use CCleaner, which is a disk/registry cleaner (free) and Defraggler (free), which is (shockingly) a hard drive defragger. Neither will help with spyware, but both should help the

Walk along the beach between hotels at night and you will most likely be approached by someone, middle aged or not. That, or hit up a cabby to take you to San Nicholas to find someone to sell to you. That being said, anything 'local' I saw was absolute garbage and would strongly suggest you reconsider your other option.
