Watch out for any of the synthetic opiates. Super addictive. I was on 5/325 percs and 5mg oxys for a long time during my back injury. They give you the shakes and a bit of depression. If you have been on them for a while have your doc ween you off. The withdrawals will be a lot easier. GL

Ive been 420 free for 2 months...trying to kick the butts now...Its definitely difficult. Try going for a jog or working out when you feel that craving. It helped to stop with the bud. Gonna see how it works with the cigs. GL!!

Thanks guys...I agree with dropping the meds cold turkey. Bad idea, went through a bad withdrawal after my first op. Im gonna try and walk atleast 5-10 minutes 1-2 times a day, and I am gonna get set up with some post-op PT after the surgeon clears me. Again guys, thanks for all the support. Hopefully within a year or two I will be ready to go for the Marine Corps physical. Hopefully...Long shot, but I'm gonna try like hell. Matt

Did you have a neurosurgeon operate on you Steve?

My issue comes from a car accident where I got rear ended sitting at a red light buy a Sears delivery truck. GG Driver. I have dropped 40 pounds and try to walk as much as my leg lets me in an effort to get pretty decent shape before I get operated on. I appreciate the input Steve. I'm thinking of going with the post-op pt. Im trying to find a good therapist, the last one I had actually made me feel worse. Any other advice is appreciated. Thanks again. Matt
