.. to my wife. She'd been sick for about 6 days with the flu, we were scared it was swine flu, but were told just to stay home and treat it with rest, Tylenol, etc. We finally said f' that and went to the doctor yesterday. They sent us to the Emergency room. Turns out she has a really bad case of bacterial bi-lateral pneumonia. The bacteria was in her blood, and if we would have waited one more day, it could have spread to other organs, etc. They've been giving her oxygen and antibiotics

So i'm flipping channels, and see Alaska State Troopers on the National Geographic channel. I turn it on and see they are not only in the town i grew up in, but one of my high school buddies was the trooper they rode around with for a good part of the episode... not quite as exciting as seeing someone from high school in porn but pretty cool.. i didn't even know it was a show. Any one have similar stories? (and yes, i'm expecting crickets...)

sorry, just had to bump this thread, just checked my fantasy scores, i was down by 50 going into tonight with ward, mendenhall and pitts D, and win by 5.. and as a huge charger fan, so glad the game in a couple weeks is going to mean more than it appeared it would a few weeks back..

I got a ticket once from a motorcycle cop for running a red light on my bike. I should have said i didn't have a license.. though i went and talked to the judge and got it down to 5 bucks. There are a lot of idiots on bikes, just like in cars, etc...

It was back when i first started commuting by bike about 10 years ago, and haven't really done it since. I guess my point to jaybone was that if you don't wait in the traffic, you can get a ticket...
