I recently was thinking to myself "I wonder if the 1st tournament I sit down and play shows any better or worse results?" I thought I might play tighter, possibly more distracted due to getting things setup, as well as being busy checking emails and working on other work. However, I also thought my mind is fresh and less prone to tilting. So I decided to give it more looking into. Since I actually have a daily running tally on every game I play, I basically went back to last January 2008

Congrats out to Peter Eastgate, the newest, and youngest ever WSOP Main Event Champion!! He broke Phil Hellmuth's (self-proclaimed unbeatable) record being only 22 years old and won over $9 million along with the bracelet and probably numerous sponsorship deals to come. I just finished watching the final table show tonight and it was a very exciting final table. Plenty of suckouts and suprises. In the end, it seemed like the 2 most introspective players seemed to rise above the rest. Ivan Demidov

I routinely hear the same questions when I talk to friends and family about my online poker career. Is playing poker online legal? Answer : Yes, in most states and countries it is legal to play, however recent U.S. legislation has put pressure on banks to not process illegal gambling transactions, which is very difficult to discern. You can usually find a variety of options to deposit funds and withdrawl. I've been playing online for 5 years and the longest it took to get my money on was a few

After running well over the last few months I could get down on myself after having a slightly down month. However, I actually feel good about my game. I played quite a bit more multi's last month due to vacation time and I landed 3 final tables with unfortunate coinflips going the wrong way missing the big money payouts. I was running white hot on sng's until this month and finally got hammered. Even with the bad luck I think after later review I probably got a little too loose and made

I wrote a long-winded book of a post and misclicked and lost everything. Seems like a paralel to my poker life. You do everything right and forget one detail and it comes back to bite you 10 fold. Basically treat your game like you're going to war and don't let your guard down or even the worst donks and fishes will capitalize. In my dissapearing post I rambled on about how the nature of this game is so deceiving. Winners look like loser, losers look like winners, and for a few hundred bucks

Let me start by saying Enjoy life while you're young and free of responsibilities. Don't get me wrong, I'm definately living a dream in my eyes and most others. Buying my second home, living in Orange County, CA, recently new Corvette, good wife, new baby, good job, and I get to play a fair amount of poker, but add it all up and there is alot of stuff going on and crap to do. It would be nice to be 16 or even 21 and pretty much come and go as I please. I rountinely pay for alot of things

Once again, the beginning of this story was May 11th post if your intrested. Again here's a quick recap: I tried my hand at poker at a Vegas work trip while I was in college, got hooked. Bought a bunch of books. Studied. Played after work at some local card rooms. Opened an online account with Party Poker. Came up with a game plan. Put a $100 on the site. Luckily had a solid start. Built my game on $10 sng's. Won a multi. Hooked up with another poker enthusiest and began spliting profits
