I have an R61 (it's like a year old) and I don't have any complaints about it. The only problem I ever had was with the hard drive (but it was installed after I got the laptop as I needed more memory) so it was more likely something on the installer's end than Lenovos. PM MonkeyKowboy or whatever his name is, he works for them and gets discounts I'm pretty sure. I got mine like a week before I found this out :(
