Found some very interesting stuff about this guy and his memo. Lewis Powell was a corporate lawyer(on 11 corparate boards) who was eventually put on the supreme court by Richard Nixon. A couple months before his appoinment he wrote the "Powell Memo". In the late 60s and early 70s people were protesting and big buisness was hurting. Lots of consumer and enviromental movements. Corporations were unable to stop the banning of all cig commercials and many enviromental acts....The American public
