fold pre and get your degree imo. It's not like you don't have substantial free time to commit to poker as a college student anyway, and if you don't then you're doing it wrong. Use the degree as a hedge.

Ok at this point I'm a semi-successful small stakes 6max cash player (50/100nl). So here's my take. Likes: 1. The supplemental income every month. lol @ most of the responses in this thread. This isn't a "obv if you play poker you can now use that to try to get a regular job". The truth is most regular jobs DO NOT rely on the set of skills that successful poker players hold. They are more about rote tasks. Call people, write reports, manipulate data in excel/access -- whatever. Only a small portion of the work world features anything that can be characterized as critical thinking and the need to make quick decisions. Very few
