  • Re:DIGG (if you like it): George Will Pro-Poker Rights Article

[quote user="chamlight"] Palin and Limbaugh are conservatives in the worst sense of the word, and George Will is a conservative in the best sense. Unfortunately for the Republican Party, people like Will are being squeezed out of prominence by the more radical (aka creationism, anti abortion, born again Christian) factions of the party, so I think to believe his thoughts will have much effect on the Republican viewpoint on this issue is foolhearty. Very glad he said what he did, though

  • Re:heartland poker tour soaring eagle august 22nd

Can't make it do to a family commitment. Played this at Greektown last year and the structure was very bad there. Turned into an all in fest with about 18 to go. I did come out with a very good payday but there was very little play on day 2. Greektown did use 30 minute levels instead of 40 though. There are nightly satelittes. As for the casino, I have always felt like everything they do is on the cheap. Beautiful place but try to get a drink when playing at a $10 crap table can be hard. From

  • Re:WSOP ME FT to be held in November

By Gary Mihoces, USA TODAY You've just made the final table in July in the Main Event at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. You're one of nine players with a shot at millions. You're hot. Now you have to wait until Nov. 9 for the next hand to be dealt. No problem, says two-time Main Event champion Johnny Chan, who welcomes the WSOP's move to delay the final table to facilitate a Nov. 11 ESPN telecast within hours of the tournament's finish. • Re:PLO8 hand for BigRiskky or other PLO8 players

Fold? Never. The pot you are playing for has abouat 3300 in if you call. If you are quartered you would get about 825. Since you only have 1100 left no way do you let this go. You are risking only 275 most of the time here. You will run into some hands that you won't like here, but you also run into a couple people with nut low and junk for high quite often and you would be looking at getting 2/3 or 2200. You will get quartered here often, but you aren't risking much and you have a high possiblity

  • Re(1): omaha H/L - what's your line?

You should have potted the flop. Now with the unbreakable nuts on the turn just smooth call. On the river shove/pot bet to any blank if he checks or make a very small bet. It will look like a bluff and get called often. Big bet works better than a small one. He will put you on a set or 2 pair and call with a straight. If he bets on the river you will have to raise small to keep him around unless it is a great card for him in his eyes.

  • Re(1): WILL STARS EVER FIX FORWARD MOVING BUTTON??

Stars and Tilt just use a different rule. Directly from their tournament rules sections. Tilt's rule is commonly refered to as the dead button rule. Stars PokerStars uses a "forward moving button" rule in its tournaments. According to this rule, no player ever receives the button twice in a row; at the completion of every hand, the button is moved clockwise to the small blind. The implication of this rule is that when players are eliminated, there may be players who get a reprieve from one or both

  • Re(2): *MESSAGE/APOLOGY FROM JJPRODIGY/JOSH FIELD**

Well said. Could not have put it better. JJ should take all that money and learn karate or something similar. People have a long memory when they are stolen from and he has taken seriously large sums from too many people.
