Must play = you can't unregister from the target tournament. 1000/17 = 58.82 so you need 58.82 buyins to play these. $36x58.82 buyins = 2117.52 so that's the bankroll you need.
Thanks, Jennifear. You're the best.

I'm trying to be smarter about bankroll management. If you spend $150 in satellite buy-ins to win a $215 entry, you're better off just buying directly into the tourney. Is there a rule of thumb for bankroll management when it comes to satellites? In other words, do you look at a particular tournament you want to satellite into and go, "I'll invest X% of the tournament buy-in to try to satellite in. If there buy-in is $215, I'll allocate $X to try to get in. Once I've spent

Thanks for the response Jennifear and hopefully you'll allow me some followups: What are you defining as "Must Play" tourney and "Not Must Play"? I'd like to play the Stars 2.5m today. But I don't have to. Let's use the Stars 2.5 Million today as the target tourney. Tell me if I'm using the formula correctly: There's a $36 satellite where 43 of the 257 entrants get seats. That's 17%. So 1000/.17 = $5882. Therefore, I'd need almost 6k in bankroll

Yeah, yeah, yeah.. "We want them to get thier money in bad. We're glad these people play, etc etc etc." Except everyone of these halftards hit. Hell, this is the third time since this morning. Of course this particular guy drops a “ha ha” after busting this hand. If PS is serious about creating a “friendly” environment, then it really should do something about these doucehbags. How can these worthless douchebag pieces of shit continue to play this bad… and beat me? This is the third

I'm trying to get better about this, I really am. But sometimes I respond when someone says something stupid even when I know that you shouldn't put the marks over. I'm not proud of it but here are some of mine: I was banned for an hour for asking a French player if FTP let him deposit military cowardice as a currency. Some clown was going on about how "I'm not a donkey, look up my stats!" About the third time I demanded I look up his stats, I replied, "I did. It says

Pal... the fact that you even ask this question proves that you're not good enough to run smack about anybody on this thread or anybody that posts here. In addition to poker advice, get some advice on how to not act like you used to get shoved in a locker every day at school. Seriously, this wouldn't be much of a forum if the players that could swallow both you and me whole completely dismissed us because we "haven't cashed enough." PS The photo in your avatar makes it look

Im playing the 11 a.m. $12+1 SuperStack tournament on BoDog. I remember when it was a decent guarantee but that's beside the point. About half an hour in I go to the tournament lobby to check out the details. There's all kinds of problems which I detail in an email to BoDog support below: Subject: Tournament lobby not functioning for BoDog $12 Super Stack tournament 11 amEST It's showing only 29 players entered but the leaderboard is showing a lot more than that entered. We need accurate

4 pm EST - got an FTP message in the chat box saying that tournaments were paused waiting for disconnecting players to reconnect. (Insert whine about the disconnect that cost me significant chips earlier). A few minutes later, one of my tournaments went to break late while the other continued play.
