It is a little different what the United States and our allies are doing to "Muslim countries" than what happened to the Jews.

All of you folks who believe that if the GOP dropped their conservative social platform they would all of a sudden win every election are somewhat naive. There are just as many, (and in my opinion more) people who vote Republican because of its opposition to gay marriage, than those who vote against the party based on this. The conservative social agenda of the platform surely alienates some people, but it also brings in a lot of voters. If it didn't you would have seen the Libertarian party

Didnt get laid off in the traditional sense. Worked on Capitol Hill, my boss lost in the last election and that meant I lost my job too. We received a 3 month severence package that ended in the middle of March. I have been looking for a job ever since. I do receive unemployment, but I also saved a decent amount of money while I was working. Getting pretty scared, and really really bored. So if you know anyone who wants to hire an out of work Republican, let me know! Good luck with your situation

I am a conservative and I agree that Sanford is a hypocritical bastard. If you play the moral card, you should have at least some moral standards in your life. But I also believe that Republicans get hammered on the hypocritical thing much more than Dems. For example, liberal dems who push enviromentalism like Kennedy should be criticized just as much for not allowing wind farms in their state because it will block their view. I have read a few other threads where people were saying things have returned to normal, but I havent seen that yet. I requested a check on 6/09 and it is still in the pending section. I'm not complaining that it is taking too long, but i know that it is taking longer than it has in the past. I also have not received my ECheck cashout from 6/02 yet.
