So many backhanded compliments there it's sickening. Even though they are interviewing the world series champion, they are still patronizing him and all players of the profession with comments regarding "gambling", "you can afford tuition at the highest school in the land now", "put a million in a money market account...you should put a lot more than that" etc. It makes me want to throw up. 1st things first. You need to speak with an AMEDD Army Recruiter. Your local Guard or Reserve recruiter will not have the same amount of knowledge of the medical programs you can enlist in the Army for as the AMEDD recruiter will have. They will know more about your options of entering as an officer AND completing your degree within the medical field, as opposed to needing to enlist first and then applying for OCS. I will say OCS has a high rate of acceptance right now, so take that FWIW. Go online

gotcha, I referred him to the correct place. If you were in the Navy/Marine Corps side of things, you won't have as much knowledge of ARMY medical programs and commissioning options as an officer. Let him talk to a professional and make a decision. If he goes to the AMEDD recruiter and brings some of that info back here, then have at your opinion.
