  • Can't Beat Bankroll Management

I'm a flighty person. I have a hard time focusing, and concentrating my efforts on my continual improvement. I have a job, I work 10 hour shifts, it makes it hard for me to focus completely when I play, and I am usually fairly tired. I give in easily and make bad calls, because when I'm nearing exhaustion my fold button simply doesn't work. It would be ok to play like this occasionally if I had a proper bankrool, but because I'm a common working guy every tourney I play is more and

  • Blog Numero Dos

I'm an idiot! First thing i do today, is break my rules 3 times and get my br down to $55. A $24+2, $10+1 and $5+.50 Get over half way through both just didnt find any good situations that came through. A couple good moves at good times on flops, but get called by junk having a ton of outs, and of course lost the hands in both places, at the point of the move and the river. Time for a break and back at it later... GL, Cole

  • My First Blog

This is going to be short, what a great way to start off your (lack of) commitment to blogging right? I'm a little to tired to say too much, but this is something i want and need to start doing to help me understand my thought processes and better gauge my development as a player. First I'll say, bankroll management is hard. For me this is a major hurdle, specifically online. I have alot of gamble in me, which is something i need to control, both in my bankroll management, but also my playing

  • Tilt Prevention Management

I was wondering what types of things do people do on those long grinds to help keep off tilt, and also to keep your train of thought? I have a terrible habit of going about 3-4 hours of playing solid in a tournament where I can't control my aggression, or my mind wanders.... Music, drinking, smoking, walks, breaks... anything?

It's called the GAP concept....easy fold for the most part. unless you're very confident in your post flop play.

  • Re(1): Is this simply unavoidable? $5rebuy

This is absolutley avoidable. You're play is obviously going to be heavily determined by your notes on the player, but you need to think what hands would he flat call with. In a rebuy this is wider range, but depending on how long you've played with him will tell how many hands he is actually playing. If you value your chips as much as you would in a freezeout, easy fold. But since you can still rebuy you're more likely to call, but you cant lose the value of the chips you already have. You can fold

  • Bill vs Phil

Has anyone checked this stuff out by Ultimate Bet? i've watched the Bill Fillmaff videos before, for poker players and poker enthusiasts who know all that is the "poker brat". this stuff can be hilarious. This is my first official start of a post, and it is to announce a big win. lol Well, not neccesarily a big win, but $150. Investment $0, actual poker involved: none in reality. Along with the latest bill vs phil episodes there are little contests, last week's was writing the best laydown you've
