so we shouldn't punish a murderer if he thinks that murder isn't wrong? wouldn't you want harsher penalties for people that have absolutely no reservations about doing something wrong? if they are going to (for example) murder people at a whim and not care because they don't feel that it is a bad thing to do then rather than punish them for the murders they committ, we would need to permanently quarantine them from society be it life in prison or death.
