  • Re:Anybody know where i can get a good deal on a new fridge??

craigslist The fridge that I had in my garage broke and I was looking for a new one on the cheap. I was ready to pay $450 for a halfway decent fridge when my wife found a nicer one on craigslist for $50. It looked brand new, the guy decided to remodel his kitchen and change everyone over to chrome applicances, so he was getting rid of his appliances. A lot of the stuff on the site is crap, but every once in a while you'll find a gem.

  • Re:In tough spot with pocket 10s

I gotta disagree. Folding TT with less than 20BB's is not a good play. I think the way you played it is perfect. Even if you miss, you should shove. This makes it so that the most likely cards against you (overcards) will only get 3 cards to beat your made hand instead of 5.

  • Re:Tough Spot for QQ. What to do on the flop?

I think this is a pretty easy spot actually. When you have QQ and less than 12 BB's, you are going to get it all in no matter what comes down. That K shouldn't scare you, push it in, if his has a K, then that is just unlucky. You don't have enough chips to fold here.

  • Re:live hand i can't get out of my head

Just a couple of thoughts. I may get flamed for this, but anyway..... Yes, you only have 15BB's, but you are second in chips and there are a couple with less than 1 BB, so you are short in one sense, but certainly not desparately short. It's not like you are in the middle stages of a huge MTT where 15 BB's is a total push/fold situation. With the blind levels and stack sizes, I would think that raising over 3 BB's (about 25% of your stack is a huge mistake). Why put that high a percentage

  • Re:Logical Fallacies (Todays Philosophical Topic)

How do you know that is a fallacy? Unless there is some kind of test that you can conduct on that, then you really can't say it's a fallacy. Here is a true to life example: Ice cream sales and Murder rates in cities have a positive corelation. Meaning that as one goes up the other does too, and as one goes down the other follows. Of course, the true reason is that crime raises with heat and so does ice cream sales.

  • Re:Craziest place you have ever woken up!!!

1.) In an elevator (I got on, but passed out before getting out) 2.) Under a car (It was raining that night, so I must have crawled under for shelter)

  • Re:I need a good name for a business...

I would name it 'Rick's Cafe'. That is the most famous piano bar ever (from the movie Casablanca) and anyone who would be interested in a piano bar would know that your bar is one by the name.

You have nothing, you should definately fold.

  • Re:Stud hi/lo hand (HH typed out properly)

You could be in a very unfortunate spot where you are caught between two hands that beat you and they just keep raising and raising. Since this is early in the tourney and it's micro stakes, you really can't fold to the guy representing low. If this was a cash game, I'd probably consider folding if I thought this was going to go to three bets because your low is really rough. BTW, you didn't ask, but your first three cards were probably not worth calling a raise with because it is

  • Re:KK vs 55

Folding here pre-flop is a super weak play. The stacks was well deep enough for this to be a profitable play for pure set mining.
