• Re:Does anyone know anything about Lock Poker???????

I'll definitely be one of the first to admit that the software has a ways to go to be on par with Tilt/Stars. I can say with 100% confidence that it is secure though. Obviously I have a conflict of interest here, but I think the people at Lock Poker are super dedicated and have the right mind set to put out a very competitive poker product. As the VP of Product Development over there I have a huge say in the future development of the product as well. I can't say a ton, but I really think

  • Cash Games versus Multi-Table Tournaments

I realize that most of the people on this site probably know who I am mainly for my poker tournament accomplishments, but due to some changes in my life (primarily my two children), I've branched out and started playing a lot more cash games as well. There are a couple of distinct differences I've noticed aside from the more obvious differences in play styles between cash and multi-table tournament play. First is focus. I personally find it is much easier for me to stay focused in tournaments

  • Keeping Up With Online Poker Trends

I’ve been playing online poker in some capacity since 2003. One of the things that has really fascinated me in recent years is the overall speed of the poker cycle in today’s game, particularly online. The game changes almost daily, and there are so many sites now dedicated to keeping up with the game that the changes permeate throughout the community with a speed never seen before. For instance, when I first started playing online poker most players had watched the game a bit on television, maybe

  • Re:Rizen signs with Lock Poker

doubt rizen could be any less relevant right now
that seems needlessly harsh and strikes me as being untrue
Strikes me just as hate, but he's entitled to his opinion. I don't play near as many tournaments as I used to, so in that sense he has a point. Probably don't play MTTs as well as I used to due to lack of volume. I also play a lot more cash so I'm honestly probably not as skilled at them as I used

  • Re:Rizen signs with Lock Poker
I decided to join Lock. Only played 3 games so far, cashed in all three. But... Let's just say...I hope some of the changes that we're hearing are coming will actually come. I already sent an e-mail to Lock about changes needed yesterday. We'll see how long it takes them to respond. Rizen, I hope things go well for you with Lock, but I have to say that as of right now this looks like a LONG journey. Maybe the challenge is what intrigues you? [/quote

  • Re:Rizen signs with Lock Poker

Thanks for all the kind words everyone. I've been out with the wife/kids tonight or I would have responded to this sooner. I elaborated a lot about this on my website, but the people at Lock Poker are incredible. Their entire philosophy is centered around the player. I know that sounds super marketing speak-ish (if that's even a phrase) but it is something that I've seen first hand in both their approach to everything in meetings and some of the tools that are in development for the players
so is that rly u playing plo? congrats on the sign btw
Haha yes it is me. I've been playing a lot of 1/2 and 2/4 on there for now. I'm the only one with the 'Rizen' name so if you see me playing then yes, it's really me. -Rizen

  • Re:Poker Pwnage or Poker X Factor?

This is unfair and quite honestly untrue. FWIW I've watched some of the vids at pwnage and I think they have a good site. I'm obviously biased and feel that PXF is better, but I certainly don't fault anyone who chooses to go that direction. As far as what Polar_Bears says I cannot speak for Bax, although I know his reason for leaving was given and is publically known I don't want to speak for him or put words in his mouth. You can search and find it pretty easily though I'm sure

  • Re:Lilholdem954 Imposter on Stars FYI

FWIW I'm nearly 100% certain that this was not Chad. This guy played nothing like him, and IMO was a pretty bad player, and I played with him a fair amount the final two tables. Also, I mean say what you want about Chad, but I seriously doubt ANYONE is stupid enough to create a second name that looks almost identical to their regular one and actually play on it. I'm sure it's a fan/hater/whatever. -Rizen

  • Re:JOINING PXF TO IMPROVE MY SNG PLAY ???

You can say whatever you want about my joining UB then quitting, definitely entitled to your opinions and I respect that even if I disagree. That being said, I've never backed a player in my life (nor do I currently have plans to). Also, several pros frequent the forums on a regular basis, although not all of them do. I won't get into any of the other items as to not derail the thread, but just wanted to clear those two facts up. -Rizen
I was a member of PXF
