When people say "I could care less" to express their lack of interest/concern over something. It simply doesn't make any sense. The correct phrase, "I could n't " care less" conveys what you really mean: "it's impossible for me to have less interest or concern in this matter, since I am already utterly indifferent." If you could care less, you obviously somewhat care about the subject.. Bottom line is you just sound unintelligent when you say this.
