Try updating your video card driver. If that does not work see if you can use the default Windows video driver.

Did this just start happening a month ago or have you been dealing with it for awhile? What do you do to resolve it? Do you have to reset the wireless modem, do you reboot your computer, what? I have an ATT card that I have used before when the power in the house went out. It's like $60 a month though. Run a LAN line from your computer to your router and try that for a month. If you don't have any issues with disconnects then the wireless portion of your router is probably going out. Also

Hardware-wise, all laptops are pretty much the same. What it comes down to is that most people do not know how to optimize their systems so they are running in tip top shape. Pick the top three you are looking at and weigh all parameters against each other. Pick the one that you favor. After that optimize the hell out of it. Get rid of crap that is running in the background that you don't need. Don't set programs you use to auto-update. The updaters run in the background even when the program
